Key Responsibilities:

●    Software Development: Iteratively and incrementally design, develop, test and maintain applications and services using C# and .NET.

●    CI/CD Pipelines: Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitLab, Devtron and Kubernetes.

●    Teamwork and Pair/Mob Programming: Engage with developers, operations, and team members via pair or mob programming sessions to ensure the highest quality product delivery.

●    Containerization: Contribute to the push toward full containerization and zero-downtime deployment goals

●    DevOps Practices: Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as bicep and Terraform.

●    Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana to make our products more supportable.

●    Design and Architecture: Contribute to on-going discussion of our evolving software design and architecture.

●    Cloud Management: Assist in managing and optimizing our private cloud infrastructure (VMWare Tanzu) to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficient resource usage.

●    Security: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

●    Automation: Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency, reduce manual efforts and deskilling in deployment, testing and maintenance tasks.

●    Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application issues promptly and effectively.

●    Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for applications, infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

●    Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and implement best practices promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, particularly with C# and .NET.

Must have skills:

●    Strong knowledge of C# programming language and .NET stack

●    Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including TDD.

●    Understanding of DevOps principles

●    Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have skills

●    Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

●    Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC).

●    Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a bonus.

●    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

●    Experience with pair/mob programming.

●    Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on systems using . NET Framework /. NET Core (C#).
• Proven, significant experience in backend software development using the . NET framework /. NET Core (C#, ASP. NET Web API, Entity Framework).
• Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and understanding database design principles (preferably with MS SQL Server).
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and analyze complex legacy code to determine functionality and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in debugging and resolving production system issues.
• Experience in leading technical initiatives or mentoring junior engineers.
• Formal team lead experience is a strong plus, if for Lead level role.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), APIs, and backend architecture patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and Mentor: Guide, manage, and mentor a backend engineering team of approximately 4 members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Backend Development: Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable backend services, APIs, and database solutions using. NET (C#) and T-SQL.
• Enhancement Ownership: Take ownership of technical design and implementation for new features and enhancements requested for our POS and web platforms.
• Legacy System Expertise: Dive into existing codebases (.NET and T-SQL) to thoroughly understand current system functionality, data flows, and business logic, becoming a subject matter expert.
• Production Support: Act as a key escalation point for diagnosing and resolving complex production issues related to the backend systems. Perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction, conduct code reviews, establish and enforce coding standards and best practices within the team.
• System Knowledge & Communication: Clearly articulate how backend systems work and answer technical questions from team members and other stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, QA testers, product managers, and potentially clients to deliver integrated solutions

Qualification Profile

• Completed studies or training in the field of Computer science or Software Engineering or comparable qualification
• Knowledge and 3+ years of experience in programming with C# and modern frameworks like .NET
• Passion and fun for software development in a self-organized manner
• Knowledge of Microservices and distributed systems
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a cooperation and team-based focus, experience in liaising between PMs, BAs, and testers
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people
• Practical experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker is an advantage

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day contact for assigned accounts, building trust and rapport while identifying areas of opportunity, highlighting best practices, and documenting them
• Review the customer journey, identifying how it’s supported, taking a consultative approach in helping clients overcome issues and achieve goals
• Collaborate, problem solve, and/or strategize upcoming client meetings with team members
• Prepare necessary documentation or visuals for client to demonstrate performance of campaigns; analyze trends in NPS scores to identify areas of improvement
• Work with the sales and marketing team to drill customer references and develop case studies

Requisites
