Senior QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong expertise in manual testing, automation using Selenium (Java), and SQL, with hands-on experience in finance applications such as banking systems, payments, or insurance platforms. The candidate should understand core financial processes and ensure high-quality, compliant software delivery.

 Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial business requirements and create detailed test scenarios
• Perform manual testing on finance applications (web/mobile)
• Develop and execute automation scripts using Java + Selenium
• Validate backend data using SQL queries (transactions, balances, reports)
• Test critical financial workflows like:
• Account creation & maintenance
• Fund transfers (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS)
• Loan processing
• Insurance policy lifecycle
• Payment gateways & reconciliation
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
• Log and track defects using JIRA
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data accuracy
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and stakeholders

Required Skills

Testing & Automation

• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing concepts (STLC, SDLC)
• Hands-on experience with Java + Selenium WebDriver
• Experience in test case design & execution
• Understanding of regression and data-driven testing

Key Responsibilities:

Execute manual test cases based on project requirements.

Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.

Assist in preparing test plans, test scenarios, and test data.

Work closely with developers and Project Manager to reproduce and resolve issues.

Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing.

Support the QA team in maintaining testing documentation and reports.

Learn and gradually contribute to automation testing (if applicable).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

1–2 years of experience in software testing .

Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing concepts.

Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and test management tools.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Good written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred):

Exposure to automation tools like Selenium or Postman.

Knowledge of SQL and database queries.

Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies.

ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent is a plus.

You will work closely with product and engineering to investigate issues, validate new functionality, and identify opportunities for improvement across the product. You will also contribute to evaluation dataset improvements when relevant to product performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how systems behave, digging into root causes, and shaping a high-quality product through thoughtful testing and analysis.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 5+ years of experience in QA, product operations, or a related role.
• Demonstrated product intuition: ability to understand user workflows, diagnose root causes, and propose improvements.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable navigating ambiguous or incomplete information.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI workflows, or evaluation datasets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structured QA activities, including exploratory testing, regression testing, and release validation.
• Analyze product behavior and real user interactions to identify bugs, UX issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Write clear, well-scoped engineering tasks with reproduction steps, expected behavior, and impact assessments.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to prioritize issues and confirm fixes.
• Maintain feedback loops that align observed product behavior with roadmap decisions and customer needs.
• Contribute as needed to evaluation dataset improvements that support product accuracy and reliability.
• Help refine internal QA workflows and product discovery processes.

Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven Software Tester to be responsible for designing and executing tests to ensure software usability and reliability. The ideal candidate will conduct detailed testing, analyze results, and collaborate with the design and development teams to ensure product quality and performance.

Our products are intricately integrated with our customers’ sustainability strategies and corporate branding. The testing team plays a crucial role in maintaining compatibility with Microsoft Office products, APIs, and third-party integrations. You’ll be testing products that serve diverse account types and regions across the SuperHuman Race ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze product requirements, business logic, and technical specifications for web and mobile platforms.
2. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for web, Android, and iOS applications.
3. Create detailed, reusable test cases for functional, regression, performance, and UI testing.
4. Conduct functional, UI/UX, cross-browser, and cross-platform testing.
5. Apply agile test methodologies and continuous integration practices.
6. Design and maintain automation frameworks (Selenium preferred).
7. Support automation using programming/scripting languages (PHP, JS, or similar).
8. Log and verify defects, assisting developers in issue recreation and resolution.
9. Conduct vulnerability and penetration testing to identify security risks.
10. Validate MySQL database operations (queries, data integrity, migrations).
11. Participate in test case automation (Selenium) and performance testing.
12. Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines for automated testing during deployments.
13. Perform manual and automated test execution while maintaining documentation.
14. Stay updated on testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.
15. Contribute to quality improvement through root cause analysis (CAPA, RCA, 5-Why, etc.).

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 2+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
3. Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
4. Experience with Bootstrap and responsive web design principles.
5. Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.
6. Understanding of cross-platform optimization and mobile responsiveness.
7. Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack, Gulp, or similar).
8. Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular) is a plus.
9. Basic understanding of PHP and RESTful API integration
10. Familiarity with image editing tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Gimp.
11. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in performance testing and automation frameworks.
2. Knowledge of security and API testing (REST APIs).
3. Ability to work with Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
4. Understanding of release processes and CI/CD best practices.
5. Strong mentoring and coaching abilities for team collaboration.

What We Are Looking For:

- The candidate should have experience in manual testing, GUI testing, functional testing and load testing.

- knowledge of automated testing tools preferable open source like JMeter, Selenium etc.

- The candidate should have experience in writing and executing test cases.

- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC concepts; Ability to effectively prioritize assignments as well as unplanned issues.

- Knowledge of web-based applications is a must.

- Defect reporting, coordination with development team, defect logging, defect tracking tools like Bugzilla or Bugnet, bug reporting etc

- Completing assigned work with proper focus on design aspects, modular, coding standards, process adherence, optimized and readable code and minimal rework required

- Self-initiative in reading and learning about new technologies, other modules of the application, newer and better ways of doing things

Required Skills

Both Manual and Automation testing(Basic Knowledge ) cover functional and performance testing.
