About the Role
Role is a remote role currently but will be Hybrid role later this year - work from our Hyderabad office.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be part of a highly collaborative team where you will work closely with engineers, product managers, business analysts, stakeholders, and leadership.
- You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality. You will work closely with PODs, taking full ownership of the QA process within your given POD, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvements.
- In this hands-on role, you will be actively involved in both test strategy and execution, ensuring that our app meets the highest performance and reliability standards. Your focus will also be on laying the groundwork for long-term scalability, making sure our testing processes evolve as the product grows.
- Collaboration is key—you will work alongside stakeholders and development leads to streamline workflows, optimize testing frameworks, and drive innovation in QA practices. You will also identify gaps in existing QA processes, propose strategic changes, and implement improvements to elevate product quality across the board.

You will be responsible for monitoring the software development life cycle to ensure quality. This includes but is not limited to developing test cases, optimizing test execution, and reporting application defects. This role is expected to help increase test throughput and product delivery by improving test coverage in a shorter amount of time.
Key Responsibilities
- Define & implement test strategy within the respective POD's to drive results.
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies for SaaS-based products.
- Set up and maintain end-to-end testing frameworks to ensure high product quality.
- Perform manual testing for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to identify and resolve defects.
- Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Define and implement best practices for quality assurance and testing in a startup environment.
- Analyse testing results and work proactively to improve product stability and performance.
- Contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement & deployment
- Handle the sole responsibility of the quality emerging from the different POD’s and working closely with the automation QA to derive results.
Required Skills
Experience as a Sr. QA
- 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong understanding of QA methodologies.
- Strong working experience in Manual Testing, Regression Testing, Database, API Testing.
- Experience working in agile, fast-paced startup environments.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Product/Dev/QA) to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle on assigned projects to assist in implementation tasks.
- Take ownership of features and enhancements from discovery to closure.
- Develop effective strategies and test plans for quality assurance.
- Experience with CI/CD & software development process with continuous deployment expertise
- Understanding of Web fundamentals (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Server Side Programming and Database)
- ITQB is a plus
Domain Expertise
- Experience in the POS domain, Fintech, or Payments industry is preferred.
- Past experience in testing handheld embedded devices, iOS/Android Apps, and restaurant POS systems is a plus.
Quality & Strategy
- Own and define the QA strategy across multiple PODs, ensuring scalable and efficient testing processes.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to enhance product quality, reliability, and user experience.
Hands-on Testing
- Actively participate in end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Develop and execute automated and manual test cases, ensuring seamless product performance.
Metric Reporting
- Establish and track key quality metrics, providing actionable insights to improve the QA process.
- Communicate test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness through data-driven reporting.
