Job brief

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to turn our software into easy-to-use products for our clients. UI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements, and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.

Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
• Design graphics user interfaces elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images

Requirements

• Portfolio of design projects (does not matter if the project is not live)
• Knowledge of Designing tools (e.g. Figma )
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Good time-management skills

• Execute social media design projects, while working closely with the content team.
• Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics in line with trends in social media.
• Refine images, fonts, and layouts using graphic design software
• Apply typography techniques
• Video editing, reels edits and other related works like captioning videos
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects
• Liaise with marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met
• Keep track of new content and tools across social media platforms, analysing what's working and what's not.

• Paint by hand and use drawing applications to design original graphics

• Work experience as a Designer intern, Graphic Designer, or similar role if any
• Portfolio of completed design projects
• Hands-on experiences with image editing software, like Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Proficient in design software (e.g. InDesign, Figma and Balsamiq)
• Strong aesthetic knowledge with the ability to combine various colors, fonts, and layouts
• Attention to visual details
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
• BSc degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field if any.

Responsibilities

1. Performing research to gather relevant information for the design.
2. Getting a good understanding of the design sensibilities/guidelines and coming up with concepts for the design based on the requirements of the client.
3. Developing creative and attractive illustrations, logos, website designs and other social designs.
4. Using Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity Designer (optional), Canva (optional), Sigma (optional) for creating designs.
5. Understanding design guidelines, copywriting rules and typography concepts in order to work with the content given by the content team.
6. Improving designs based on the given feedback.
7. Ensuring projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.

About the Role:

• Create Visual Brand Identity

• Conceptualise a creative direction for Testing Ground’s projects
• Conceptualise and design branding/marketing materials for both print and web related marketing material
• Produce new artwork based on brand guidelines agreed with our team
• Create print and digital advertising materials

• Develop Key Visuals and Collaterals for Marketing Campaigns and Events

• Assist in the management of website, newsletters and all other company materials, where necessary
• Design all graphic, sales and marketing materials e.g. EDM / Posters / Banners
• Work with us in crafting visually compelling presentations

• Manage Design from Concept to Production

• Work according to briefs for the branding needs and guidelines
• Ensure design specifications are production-ready
• Engage with external printers or contractors/suppliers/vendors to ensure the highest quality of materials and that deadlines are met
• Proper documentation of all design files

Experience:

At least Diploma in Art/Design/Creative fields 

Skills Required:

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite especially Illustrator and Photoshop
• Familiarity in Adobe InDesign for desktop publishing
• Ability to convey company’s message in line with brand’s guidelines through original design
• Ability to create strong design concepts
• (good to have) Skilled in video editing
