Senior Android Developer

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer (5–10 years experience) with strong hands-on expertise in AWS, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux. The role involves designing, automating, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Experience with Terraform/Ansible, monitoring tools, and security best practices is required. Immediate joiners preferred.

• Key Knowledge

• 3-5+ years of experience in AWS/GCP or Azure technologies
• Is likely certified on one or more of the major cloud platforms
• Strong experience from hands-on work with technologies such as Terraform, K8S, Docker and orchestration of containers.

Certification:

• Architect level certificate of any cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Ensure limited system failure and increase up-time and availability of the various company apps.
• Understand the current application infrastructure and strive for making it better.
• Automate infrastructure and develop tools and processes to improve the customer experience and reduce support time.
• Work closely with a team of developers and solution strategists to develop, deploy and troubleshoot the deployment and infrastructure issues.
• Manage full application stacks from the OS through custom applications using Amazon cloud-based computing environments.
• Set up a monitoring stack.
• Implement the application’s CI/CD pipeline using the AWS stack. Increasingly automate and improve the testing plans and development workflows and tools.
• Work closely with the engineers to design networks, systems, and storage environments that effectively reflect business needs, security requirements, and service level requirements.
• Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for the server-based technologies.
• Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment. Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment.
• Support internal and external customers on multiple platforms.
• First point of contact for handling customer issues, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiency and reduce customer incidents.
• Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision.
• In addition to providing customer support, will be responsible for helping build tools and processes necessary for excellent customer outcomes.

Skills:

• Experience with the core AWS services, plus the specifics mentioned in this job description.
• Experience working with at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, Kotlin or Java.
• Proficient with Git and Git workflows and hosted enterprise Git solutions like GitHub.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Experience with. AWS EKS Kubernetes infrastructure setup.
• Experience creating Cloud Formation Template to create Auto Scaling Groups, Route 53, DNS, back-end database, Elastic load balancer, VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Cloud Watch, S3, IAM roles, RDS DB instances, and to provide those instances and configure those resources to work together reducing the manual effort.
• Experience in deploying and monitoring microservices on Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and AWS EKS
• Security aware and ensures that all systems are security standards-compliant.
• Good background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications.
• Minimum 3-5 years of cloud development experience, preferably AWS
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins preferred.
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline

• Proficient in Java, Node or Python
• Experience with NewRelic, Splunk, SignalFx, DataDog etc.
• Monitoring and alerting experience
• Full stack development experience
• Hands-on with building and deploying micro services in Cloud (AWS/Azure)
• Experience with terraform w.r.t Infrastructure As Code
• Should have experience troubleshooting live production systems using monitoring/log analytics tools
• Should have experience leading a team (2 or more engineers)
• Experienced using Jenkins or similar deployment pipeline tools
• Understanding of distributed architectures

Must-Have’s:

• Hands-on DevOps (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python/Ruby)  

Job Description:

• Knowledge on what is a DevOps CI/CD Pipeline

• Understanding of version control systems like Git, including branching and merging strategies
• Knowledge of what is continuous delivery and integration tools like Jenkins, Github
• Knowledge developing code using Ruby or Python and Java or PHP 
• Knowledge writing Unix Shell (bash, ksh) scripts

• Knowledge of what is automation/configuration management using Ansible, Terraform, Chef or Puppet

• Experience and willingness to keep learning in a Linux environment
• Ability to provide after-hours support as needed for emergency or urgent situations

Nice to have’s:

• Proficient with container based products like docker and Kubernetes

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Able to work in a team and be a team player
• Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Apache and other open source software
• BA/BS in computer science or similar

A strong background in Azure OR Amazon Web Services (AWS) or a similar cloud platform is a must-have, certification is a plus.

Excellent technical skills and knowledge include but not limited to: cloud methodologies like PaaS and SaaS; programming languages such as Python, Java, .Net; orchestration systems such as Chef, Ansible, Terraform; Azure IaaS servers; PowerShell scripting.

Fully aware of the DevOps cycle with hands-on on deployment models to the cloud.

Experience working with Docker and related containerization technologies.

Experience working on orchestration platforms such as AKS, RedHat OpenShift etc.

Extensive knowledge working with logging and monitoring tools such as EFK, visualization tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

Exposure to security alert monitoring tools.
