DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and mobile applications.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS).
• Configure and maintain Docker containers and/or Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.
• Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Manage code repositories using Git/GitHub/GitLab, enforce branching strategies.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Splunk.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment and development workflows.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and improve performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and orchestrators (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of Networking, VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, Security Groups.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools: CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
• Good understanding of Node.js or similar application deployments.
• Knowledge of NGINX/Apache and load balancing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred/Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience with Serverless architectures (Lambda).
• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, RDS.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who will own infrastructure, deployment, reliability, and cloud cost optimisation. You will work closely with backend, AI, and product teams to ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and always available.

This is a high-ownership role with real impact on uptime, performance, and developer velocity.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Management

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred; AWS acceptable)
• Manage Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud SQL, storage, and networking
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability

CI/CD & Deployment

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend and AI services
• Automate deployments, rollbacks, and environment management (dev, staging, prod)
• Improve release reliability and deployment speed

Monitoring, Reliability & Security

• Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging (uptime, CPU, memory, errors, latency)
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and incidents
• Implement security best practices: IAM, secrets management, backups, and access controls

Cost Optimisation & Performance

• Monitor and optimise cloud costs (compute, databases, storage)
• Implement autoscaling, right-sizing, and resource optimisation
• Work with engineering teams to balance performance with cost efficiency

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3–6 years of hands-on DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience
• Strong experience with GCP (or AWS with willingness to transition)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised workloads
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues under pressure
• Experience with AI/ML workloads and GPU-based deployments

Candidate must be from a product-based company with experience handling large-scale production traffic.

2. Candidate must have strong Linux expertise with hands-on production troubleshooting and working knowledge of databases and middleware (Mongo, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka).

3. Candidate must have solid experience with Kubernetes.

4. Candidate should have strong knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Chef / Puppet. Add on- Prometheus & Grafana etc.

5. Candidate must be an individual contributor with strong ownership.

6. Candidate must have hands-on experience with DATABASE MIGRATIONS and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

7. Candidate must have working knowledge of Go/Python and Java.

8. Candidate should have working experience on Cloud platform - AWS

9. Candidate should have Minimum 1.5 years stability per organization, and a clear reason for relocation
