Understand client business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Conduct requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, and technical documentation.

Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide technical guidance and recommend suitable technologies, architectures, and solutions.

Participate in system integration, implementation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Prepare technical specifications, solution documents, architecture diagrams, and project documentation.

Act as a technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

Identify technical risks, dependencies, and challenges and provide appropriate solutions.

Support pre-sales activities, including technical discussions, solution presentations, and proposal preparation when required.

Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer solutions using AWS services (Cloud Formation, EC2, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, EFS )
• Balance hardware, network, and software layers to arrive at a scalable and maintainable solution that meets requirements for uptime, performance, and functionality
• Monitor server applications and use tools and log files to troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Maintain 99.99% availability of the web and integration services
• Anticipate, identify, mitigate, and resolve issues relating to client facing infrastructure
• Monitor, analyse, and predict trends for system performance, capacity, efficiency, and reliability and recommend enhancements in order to better meet client SLAs and standards
• Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration and DevOps tasks
• Deploy and decommission client environments for multi and single tenant hosted applications following and updating as needed established processes and procedures
• Follow and develop CPA change control processes for modifications to systems and associated components

Practice configuration management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation per company policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

• Git/GitHub version control tools
• Linux and/or Windows Virtualisation (VMWare, Xen, KVM, Virtual Box )
• Cloud computing (AWS, Google App Engine, Rackspace Cloud)
• Application Servers, servlet containers and web servers (WebSphere, Tomcat)
• Bachelors / Masters Degree - 2+ years experience in software development
• Must have experience with AWS VPC networking and security

As part of the Cloud Platform / Devops team at Upswing, you will get to work on building state-of-the-art infrastructure for the future. You will also be –

• Building Infrastructure on AWS driven through terraform and building automation tools for deployment, infrastructure management, and observability stack 
• Building and Scaling on Kubernetes
• Ensuring the Security of Upswing Cloud Infra
• Building Security Checks and automation to improve overall security posture 
• Building automation stack for components like JVM-based applications, Apache Pulsar, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Reporting Infra, etc.
• Mentoring people across the teams to enable best practices 
• Mentoring and guiding team members to upskill and helm them develop work class Fintech Infrastructure

You should have

• Strong experience in Cloud technologies, Security and Networking concepts, Multi-cloud environments, etc.
• Experience with at least one scripting language (GoLang/Python/Ruby/Groovy)
• Experience in Terraform is highly desirable but not mandatory
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is required 
• Understanding of the Java Technologies and Stack
• Any other Devops related experience will be considered

• Provide consultation and review all outgoing critical customer communications.
• Apply DevOps thinking in bringing the development and IT Ops process, people, and tools together within the company in order to increase the speed, efficiency, and quality.
• Perform architecture and security reviews for different projects, work with leads to develop strategy and roadmap for the client requirements. Involve in designing of the overall architecture of the system with another leads/architect.
• Develop and grow engineers in DevOps technology to meet the incoming requirements from the business team.
• Work with senior technical team to bring in new technologies/tools being used within the company. Develop and promote best practices and emerging concepts for DevSecOps and secure CI/CD. Participate in Solution Strategy, innovation areas, and technology roadmap.

#Triage and troubleshoot issues on the AWS and GCP and participate in a rotating on-call schedule and address urgent issues quickly

#Develop and leverage expert-level knowledge of supported applications and platforms in support of project teams (architecture guidance, implementation support) or business units (analysis).

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification required
