Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Cognos BI Developer with strong data modeling, dashboarding, and reporting expertise to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in business intelligence, data visualization, and performance analysis, and be comfortable working in a hybrid setup from Bangalore or Hyderabad.

Mandatory Skills :

Cognos BI, Framework Manager, Cognos Dashboarding, SQL, Data Modeling, Report Development (charts, lists, cross tabs, maps), ETL Concepts, KPIs, Drill-through, Macros, Prompts, Filters, Calculations.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models using Framework Manager to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
2. Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Cognos Dashboard.
3. Identify and define KPIs and create reports to monitor them effectively.
4. Analyze data and present actionable insights to support business decision-making.
5. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and determine timelines for execution.
6. Design and develop models in Framework Manager, publish packages, manage security, and create reports based on these packages.
7. Develop various types of reports, including charts, lists, cross tabs, and maps, and design dashboards combining multiple reports.
8. Implement reports using macros, prompts, filters, and calculations.
9. Perform data warehouse development activities and ensure seamless data flow.
10. Write and optimize SQL queries to investigate data and resolve performance issues.
11. Utilize Cognos features such as master-detail reports, drill-throughs, bookmarks, and page sets.
12. Analyze and improve ETL processes to enhance data integration.
13. Apply technical enhancements to existing BI systems to improve their performance and usability.
14. Possess solid understanding of database fundamentals, including relational and multidimensional database design.
15. Hands-on experience with Cognos Data Modules (data modeling) and dashboarding.

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with extensive hands-on experience using Tally software.
3. Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations in India.
4. Proficiency in Tally software, including configuration, customization, and report generation.
5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Knowledge of Indian taxation laws and regulations, including GST and TDS requirements.

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Founding Engineer (first engineering hire). This is an equity-only role, meaning compensation will be in the form of equity rather than a salary.

This role will be 30% applied research and 70% product engineering. The expectation is that you will be able to commit 15 hours per week for this role to begin with.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field (Also open to university students for the right candidate)
• Knowledge of gen-AI systems (LLMs, model training/fine-tuning, agent frameworks, evaluation frameworks, vector DBs, RAG, etc)
• Experience in building and scaling backend systems and infrastructure
• Strong generalist, skilled with Python, cloud infrastructure (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Track, report, and analyze website analytics and other content development initiatives and campaigns
• Optimize copy and landing pages, and websites for search engine marketing
• Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
• Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
• Research and analyze competitor links
• Develop and implement link building strategy
• Work with the web development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
• Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Requirements

• Proven SEO experience at an agency or brand level for 2-3 years
• In-depth understanding of marketing, conversion, online customer acquisition and website analytics tools
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
• Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO
• Bonus if you have SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Facebook and Bing to run SEM campaigns to aid SEO

You Should Have

●       3+ year experience in embedded system design

●       Mastery in C/C++ for embedded systems. Strong fundamentals of Microcontrollers and their common peripherals.

●       Done multiple projects during graduation/post-graduation. Participated and performed in tech competitions. 

●       Experience working with actuators like motors (DC/brushless), LED/LCD and HMI interfaces, speakers, sensors etc

●       Experience working with motor control algorithms and PID controllers

• Proficiency with Linux OS and basic bash scripting

• Required 4+ years of experience in Java.
• Hands on professional experience using Core Java, Java Restful APIs, Gradle, Spring, Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Hands on experience creating/consuming web services and data Data queries in SQL
• 2+ years’ experience of working with geographically dispersed teams, that fall across different time zones
• Experience with distributed architecture including web services and technologies
