Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java + Kafka Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, event-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills in Java and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for building scalable, real-time data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop event-driven microservices using Java and Apache Kafka
• Build and maintain Kafka producers, consumers, topics, and streams
• Implement message processing, retries, error handling, and idempotency
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of Kafka-based systems
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka and application performance
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and QA teams

Required Skills

About the job

o  Candidate will be in leading role to thoroughly understand client requirements and expedite functional and technical design for the overall planning solution; lead team of experienced and novice to deliver solutions meeting client expectations. 

o  Candidate must be well versed with Feedstock ranking (Indifference), Rolling Plans, Back-casting, configuration selection and plant debottlenecking studies, update of multi-period, multi-plant linear programming models. 

o  Candidate should have worked in Refinery and Petrochemical companies (in Production Planning, Technical Services division) and /or delivered Planning solution to Oil and Gas clients in consulting assignments. 

o  Candidate should have knowledge of refinery / petrochemicals plant configurations, their economics, blending operations, yield accounting, crude blending, product distribution, crude arrival sequencing.

• Manage security tools(Snyk, Fossa, Trivy).
• Manage vulnerability programs. Triage vulnerabilities, assign priorities and owners, follow up on the mitigation 
• Monitor license violations.  
• Perform Security Assessments and Threat Modeling
• Security Incident Response. Be part of a security-on-call team in PagerDuty, act as incident commander, perform Root Cause Analysis.
• Drive security initiatives(Web Application Security, Least-privilege principle, Secrets Management, Key Management, PKI and Certificate Management, Anti-fraud protection).

You'll need:

• Web application security experience.
• Familiarity with a modern SaaS infrastructure and application development.
