SENIOR ENGINEER FRONTEND JOB DESCRIPTION

To lead the development of robust, scalable, and visually engaging frontend applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. The Senior Engineer – Frontend will drive architectural decisions,

implement best practices in UI/UX, and ensure seamless integration with backend systems. This role focuses on building high-performance, maintainable interfaces while mentoring junior engineers and

contributing to the continuous improvement of the overall product development process.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Product Owner and tech lead to discover, design, develop and deploy

great financial tools and products that provide meaningful value to our customers.

• Develop,Unittests and deploy components.

• IntegrateUI application with restAPIs.

• Primary technologies focused on modern front-end - Advanced JS ES6, React, Redux, Angular Js and other modern JS frameworks,HTML/CSS.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development ,testing, and production environments.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trendsto continuously improve our tech

stack.

• Mentor andguide junior engineers,fostering a culture oflearning and growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computerscience, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent

experience).

• 4 to 8 years of practical experience and proven success with the design, development and

operation of complex web applications.

• Strong experience with modern and vanilla JavaScript and Typescript techniques

including JSX and ES6/ES7 features

• Familiarity connecting to microservices, REST APIs, graph APIs, and other database- driven

web applications

• Experiencewiththird-party librariesandAPIs

• Asynchronous programming including Promises, async/await, andES7generators

• Knowledge ofmodern authorizationmechanisms,such asJSONWebToken

• Familiaritywithmodernfront-end build pipelines andtools

• Experience with common front-end developmenttoolssuch as Babel,Webpack,NPM, etc.

• Broad technical knowledge across a majority, with deeper knowledge in,the following: Web

🎯 Role Overview

We are a UK-based SaaS company powering online ordering, POS, and mobile apps for restaurants and takeaways. We already serve 1200+ clients on our legacy platform and are migrating to a modern Python-Django, React, Flutter, microservices stack hosted on OVH Cloud.

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Architect/Lead based in India (preferably Kerala) who can:

• Audit and stabilize our current build,

• Deliver MVP in weeks, not months,

• And evolve into the future CTO of the company.

This role is high-impact: you’ll work closely with the UK leadership team and lead a growing India-based engineering group.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Ownership

• Review and refactor existing codebase (Django backend, Flutter apps, React admin).

• Define clean architecture, APIs, and service boundaries.

• Simplify into a stable MVP (modular monolith first, microservices later).

• Delivery Management

• Enforce agile sprints (2-week cycles).

• Set up CI/CD pipelines, test automation, QA cycles.

• Ensure smooth and secure deployments on OVH cloud.

• Hands-On Development

• Lead by example — write/refactor core backend/frontend code.

• Mentor and guide 3 in-house developers (transitioning from PHP/Opencart).

• Scaling & Future Roadmap

• Prepare system for multi-language support, payments, POS integrations.

• Define a 12–24 month tech roadmap aligned with business goals.

• Explore AI-assisted coding/testing to boost team productivity.

• Leadership

• Act as technical counterpart to business leadership in the UK.

• Build and lead a strong India-based engineering team as we scale.

✅ Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years professional development experience, with at least 3 years leading teams or projects.

• Strong hands-on expertise in:

• Python-Django (backend, APIs, ORM, migrations)

• Flutter (cross-platform apps)

• React (admin dashboards)

• DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, cloud deployments)

• Proven track record of shipping SaaS products from MVP → production.

• Experience cleaning up/refactoring messy codebases.

• Ability to mentor mid-level and junior devs.

• Bonus: Experience with restaurant/retail tech, POS, or fintech/payments.

Developer - Minimum IT experience 6 years with 4 experience in UI path

UI Path proficient developers  accustomed to UIpath studio , orchestrator to develop Web/Citrix/Windows applications  unattended/attended automations in an agile environment.

• Provide UIPath SME support and assist the RBS team with bots development.

• Design the automation process,

• Develop bots for the identified process steps

• Testing of bots

• Deployment of Bots in production

• Bug fixes.

Preferred skill combination – certification in Power automate as well as previous experience of automation on Workday and ServiceNow integration.

What kind of work will you get?

We are looking for a Nodejs developer.

Examples of technical tasks:

Working on our backend SDK to implement APIs that will be consumed by the frontend widgets

Designing APIs for different auth recipes

Architecting auth flows

You will also be given non technical tasks like product brain storming, competitor analysis and writing documentation.

Requirements

Well versed in nodejs with 2+ years of professional experience

Familiar with and comfortable working with Web frameworks like FastAPI, Django and Flask

Familiar with HTTP networking in nodejs

Strong understanding of async and sync modes in nodejs

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience in Core Java 8 and above, Collections and Data structures.
• Develop solutions using core java, Spring / Spring Boot, JSON, Rest API and other web technologies.
