Job Description – Data Scientist (Machine Learning & Forecasting)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist with strong expertise in Machine Learning, Traditional Statistical Modelling, Forecasting, and Predictive Analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and deploying end-to-end ML solutions, working with large datasets, and translating business problems into scalable data science solutions.

The role requires a strong foundation in statistics, predictive modelling, feature engineering, model evaluation, and time-series forecasting, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning models for business-critical use cases.
• Build and optimize traditional ML models such as:
• Linear Regression
• Logistic Regression
• Decision Trees
• Random Forest
• Gradient Boosting (XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost)
• Support Vector Machines
• Clustering Algorithms
• Develop forecasting solutions using:
• ARIMA / SARIMA
• Prophet
• Exponential Smoothing
• Time-Series Regression Models
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, and data validation.
• Evaluate model performance using appropriate statistical and business metrics.
• Work with structured and semi-structured datasets from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Build scalable data pipelines and support model deployment in production environments.
• Monitor model performance, identify data drift, and implement model retraining strategies.
• Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Forecasting.

Role Descriptions:

Operations & Service Delivery

• Deploy and Configure Delinea Components: Install, configure, and maintain Delinea Secret Server, Server Suite, Privilege Manager, Distributed engine, rabbit MQ, DevOps Secrets Vault, and Just Enough Privilege (JEP) modules in on-premises and later for cloud environments.
• Integrations with IT Infrastructure and endpoints: Integrate Delinea solutions with Active Directory, SIEM systems, ticketing tools, databases, ServiceNow, and network devices to protect Windows / LINUX OS, database and application connectors.
• Scripting & Automation: PowerShell for automation and reporting, Python for API Integrations and workflows, REST API usage for PAM operations
• Maintenance: Test, validate and deploy fixes, patches, upgrades, and ensure break glass and disaster recovery readiness. Ensure backup and restore capabilities based on Veeam.
• Capacity: Monitor performance, tune resources (CPU, memory, disk) and ensure high availability and capacity management.
• Security: Design and implement security baseline and ensure compliance to several regulatory frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, SWIFT, FINMA, SNB in adherence of the Microsoft ESAE principles.
• Observability: Implement and operate the monitoring for health and performance (operational and security) and Session & Monitoring Controls for privileged session monitoring, recording, and behavioural alerting to support Zero Trust practices
• Support: Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting, resolve escalated incidents, be part of the on call support 7/24 organization.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units
• Documentation: Keep documentation up to date, maintain system configs, runbooks, operations manuals.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

• Design and build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.
• Build cloud services on top of the modern OCI infrastructure.
• Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from design to development, to quality assurance, and to production.
• Invest in the best engineering and operational practices upfront to ensure our software quality bar is high.
• Optimize data processing pipelines for orders of magnitude higher throughput and faster latencies.
• Leverage a plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and troubleshoot software.

·         Architect, develop and deploy software using Django/ Python

·         Strong hands on experience in Django and Python Experience with RDBMS, PostgreSQL, MySQL.

·         Experience with HTML5, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.

·         Experience with Linux platform.

·         Experience building responsive web applications with Bootstrap

·         Understanding of Amazon AWS/ EC2 deployment architecture experience is a plus

·         Experience with source control management tools (Git preferred) Preferred skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Design and implement scalable web applications and platforms using technologies such as Typescript, NestJS, Angular, NodeJS, ExpressJS, TypeORM, and Postgres

·         Good understanding of web and REST API design patterns

·         Experience with AWS technologies such as EKS, ECS, ECR, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, ALB will be an added advantage

·         Hands-on experience with unit test frameworks like Jest
