Objectives of this role

• Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
• Handle and response to the User requests and provide solutions on timely manner

Responsibilities

• Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
• Monitor cloud services, network health and respond to hardware issues as they arise;
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
• Address the user requests and other teams’ members requirement with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Rancher clusters, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes operations. This role requires expertise in automation through shell scripting and proficiency in configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible. Candidates should be highly self-motivated, capable of working on a rotating schedule, and committed to owning tasks through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain Rancher and Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, including on bare-metal environments.
• Perform upgrades and manage the lifecycle of Rancher clusters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Rancher cluster issues efficiently.
• Write, maintain, and optimize shell scripts to automate Kubernetes-related tasks.
• Work collaboratively with the team to implement best practices for system automation and orchestration.
• Utilize configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible (preferred but not mandatory).
• Participate in a rotating schedule, with the ability to work until 1 AM as required.
• Take ownership of tasks, ensuring timely delivery with high-quality standards.

Key Requirements:

**THIS IS A 100% WORK FROM OFFICE ROLE**

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer that will help our team establish DevOps practice. You will work closely with the technical lead to identify and establish DevOps practices in the company.
You will help us build scalable, efficient cloud infrastructure. You’ll implement monitoring for automated system health checks. Lastly, you’ll build our CI pipeline, and train and guide the team in DevOps practices.

like Python, C#, Java, Perl, Ruby, SQL Server, NoSQL, and MySQL
• An understanding of the best security practices and automating security testing and
updating in the CI/CD (continuous integration, continuous deployment) pipelines
• An ability to conveniently deploy monitoring and logging infrastructure using tools.
• Proficiency in container frameworks
• Mastery in the use of infrastructure automation toolsets like Terraform, Ansible, and command line interfaces for Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and other cloud platforms

• A minimum of 3 years experience as a Technical Lead in Java., Strong experience in design and implementation of high performing and highly scalable websites/applications
