About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer to join our team, responsible for developing and maintaining a robust ERP solution used by approximately 400 customers and over 30,000 users worldwide. The system is built using C# (.NET Core), leverages SQL Server for data management, and is hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a mission-critical product, contribute to architectural decisions, and help shape the future of our cloud-native ERP platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features and modules within the ERP system using C# (.NET Core)
• Optimise and manage SQL Server database interactions for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, Product Management, and Support
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning
• Contribute to the adoption and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where applicable

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of SQL Server, including query optimization and schema design
• Experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Designing Hive/HCatalog data model includes creating table definitions, file formats, compression techniques for Structured & Semi-structured data processing

• Implementing Spark processing based ETL frameworks

• Implementing Big data pipeline for Data Ingestion, Storage, Processing & Consumption

• Modifying the Informatica-Teradata & Unix based data pipeline

• Enhancing the Talend-Hive/Spark & Unix based data pipelines

• Develop and Deploy Scala/Python based Spark Jobs for ETL processing

• Strong SQL & DWH concepts.

Preferred Background:

• Function as integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs

• Lead project efforts in defining scope, planning, executing, and reporting to stakeholders on strategic initiatives

• Understanding of EDW system of business and creating High level design document and low level implementation document

• Designing Big data pipeline for Data Ingestion, Storage, Processing & Consumption

• Perform analysis, design and implementation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, processes, and product / program requirements
• Engage with global teams to effectively translate customer requirements to software requirements and identify potential solutions that are optimized to operate with in constraints of the product
• Troubleshoot variety of complex software problems
• Provide timely status updates and proactive communications on issues to the stakeholders.
• Able to interface with internal and external stake holders regarding software issues.
• Contribute as part of teams put together to meet overall organization initiatives/objectives
• Have the ability and willingness to acquire in-depth understanding of domain and existing products (beyond software) and apply that knowledge to develop new products and to deliver enhancements/ fixes for customer requirements.

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation with appropriate experience in required skills

• Build and mentor the platform team at Checko.
• Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and craftsmanship of the team’s infrastructure and systems capable of handling massive amounts of requests with high reliability and scalability
• Leverage the deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership on resolving complex technology issues
• Entrepreneurial and out-of-box thinking essential for a technology startup
• Guide the team for unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

Requirements

• Must have design, development, testing, deployment of systems capable of handling massive amounts of requests with high reliability and scalability
• Must have strong command in writing production-level code in Java or Python including skills in debugging, performance analysis/optimization and memory usage optimization
• Must have worked with real-time web/mobile applications and event-driven architectures
• Must have experience working with relational and non-relational databases and understanding their data models and performance tradeoffs.
• Must have solid engineering principles and a clear understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Should have knowledge of service-oriented architecture, caching techniques, micro-services, and distributed systems
• Should have basic understanding of C++/reactJS/Angular/Node

Your role as a Principal Engineer will involve working with various team. As a principal engineer, will need full knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. You will demonstrate multi-tasking skills under tight deadlines and constraints. You will regularly contribute to the development of work products (including analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and documenting software) and may work with customers to resolve challenges and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. You will setup the standard and principal for the product he/she drives.
