Data Automation Intern (Remote) 

GreenTree is an asset management firm specializing in cross-border real estate investment banking in China and the USA. This is an online/remote internship. The internship is unpaid. It is up to the applicant's discretion to choose a start and end date (the dates listed on the posting are flexible). You will be given a short quiz to test your background and passion for data automation. 

Responsibilities: 

• ▪ Work with large datasets to clean, transform, and organize data for analysis and reporting. 
• ▪ Develop and implement automated data pipelines using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, or other data tools. 
• ▪ Research and recommend tools to improve data workflow efficiency. 
• ▪ Collaborate with other teams to gather data requirements and support automation goals. 
• ▪ Test and troubleshoot automated solutions and workflows to ensure data accuracy. 

Qualifications: 

• ▪ Strong understanding of Excel and data processing tools (Power Query, Power BI, or similar). 
• ▪ Passion for automating data workflows and improving efficiency. 
• ▪ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 
• ▪ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and familiarity with Google Sheets is a plus. 
• ▪ Self-driven and organized with strong communication skills. 
• ▪ Willingness to learn new tools and apply feedback quickly. 
• ▪ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently. 

While this position is unpaid, it can be used to receive course credit at partner universities.

Data Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data management strategies aligned with business objectives.

Define data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate data collection and storage.

Data Collection and Integration:

Identify and assess various data sources, both internal and external, to gather relevant and reliable data.

Design and implement data collection methods and processes to ensure data is captured efficiently.

Oversee data integration initiatives to consolidate data from different sources into a unified database.

Data Quality Assurance:

Develop and enforce data quality standards to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.

Implement data validation processes and routines to identify and rectify data discrepancies or errors.

Database Management:

Maintain and optimize data storage systems, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.

Ensure data security and compliance with relevant data protection regulations.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collaborate with analysts to provide clean and structured data for analysis.

Assist in creating data visualizations and reports to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with IT teams, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and resolve technical issues.

Provide guidance and training to team members regarding data management best practices.

Role and Requirements

·      Managing sales distribution and growth for Hotchaa! in retail – MT and GT

·      Come with good knowledge, understanding and relationships with GT and MT market in India, specifically Mumbai

·      Understand way of working for FMCG product growth – distribution, listing, promotions, merchandising

·      Establish sales objectives and targets by forecasting and developing monthly sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; work to achieve set sales targets along with marketing team

·      Identify and build the right retail partnerships online and offline to drive sales for Hotchaa! products

·      Manage relationships and engagement with channel partners (online and offline) including analyzing sales potential, SKU rationalization, pricing and promotion decisions and trend forecasting

·      Conduct frequent trade visits to gain valuable insights on stock movement, monthly trends and tweak strategy accordingly.

·      Build and nurture relationships with retailers and distributors, discuss their needs and assess the quality of the company’s relationship with them

·      Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics

·      Provide sales support to distribution partners and work closely on POS promotions / shelf displays / marketing / visibility strategy along with marketing inputs

Skill sets/Experience we require:

•     Proven work experience as a Content Writer, copywriter or similar role

•     Portfolio of published articles

•     Experience doing research using multiple sources

•     Familiarity with web publications

•     Excellent writing and editing skills in English

•     Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)

•     Ability to meet deadlines
