Wits Innovation Lab is looking for a Forward Deploy Engineer – AI Solutions to design, deploy, and scale AI-powered enterprise solutions. The role involves working closely with clients, building AI-driven systems, integrating LLM-based solutions, and delivering scalable implementations across business workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy AI-driven enterprise solutions

• Build scalable AI systems and multi-agent workflows

• Work on LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI integrations

• Develop APIs, connectors, and secure data pipelines

• Collaborate with clients to prototype and productionize solutions

• Lead pilot projects and full-scale AI implementations

• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and enablement support

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Python or Java

• Good understanding of AI/ML concepts, LLMs, RAG, and vector databases

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Hands-on experience with API integrations and enterprise systems

• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and scalable system design

Good to Have:

• Experience with Agentic AI or multi-agent systems

• Docker and Kubernetes exposure

Hi Shanon, As discussed we have one open req for AI role. The right skill set I am looking for is experience with RAG pipelines, Performance monitoring of prompts and tuning. Multi model RAG and agentic AI soon but not night away. Needless to say Python and the NLP lib experience is a must. Database knowledge is also essential. The developer needs to be in Morgan Stanley offices 3 days per week. BLR location is preferred, if not Mumbai is also fine. Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring

Boot.

● Create and optimize SQL database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL to ensure efficient

data storage and retrieval.

● Implement RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend

components.

● Configure and manage Nginx web servers to efficiently handle incoming requests and improve

application performance.

● Deploy and manage applications on AWS or GCP, ensuring scalability, reliability, and

security.

● Configure and optimize message broker systems using Kafka for real-time data processing

and communication.

● Containerize applications using Docker for easy deployment, scaling, and management.

● Create detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and High-Level Designs (HLDs) to guide the

development and architecture of backend systems.

● Automating CI/CD pipelines and streamlining the software development lifecycle.

● Integrate AI/ML models into backend workflows using Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, or

third-party AI APIs.

● Leverage AI tools (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, AWS AI services) to build intelligent

features.

● Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, data scientists, and other

stakeholders to deliver high-quality AI-powered solutions.

● Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and

uptime.

What We’re Looking For:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

● 3-5 years of experience in backend development.

● Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, SQL, and GitActions.

● Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.

● Experience with configuring and optimizing Nginx web servers.

● Experience with configuring and optimizing Kafka service.

● Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.

● Familiarity with Docker containers and container orchestration.

● Ability to create comprehensive Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and High-Level Designs (HLDs)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative design projects.
• High proficiency in Figma is a must. The candidate should be able to create complex design systems, use auto-layout effectively, and leverage Figma's interactive components for prototyping.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the design process from ideation to development; including wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and final implementation.
• Experience in conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability studies. The ability to empathize with users, understand their problems, and translate their needs into effective UI/UX solutions.
• Demonstrable skills in ideation, sketching, and creating low-fidelity wireframes for early-stage idea exploration.
• It is an added advantage to have familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for close collaboration with our development team.
• A keen understanding of mobile-first and responsive design. You should be able to create designs that work well on any device and screen size.
• Excellent visual design skills, including but not limited to, composition, layout, color theory, and typography.
• Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis and assess user feedback to deliver world-class design solutions.
• Demonstrated experience using data, user feedback, and market analysis to inform design decisions.
• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
