Some of the tech problems you get to work on as a backend engineer would be to build the backend for a modern spreadsheet experience from scratch, work on infra as code, write robust code that is fault-tolerant, work on performant code that adheres to SLOs set by the organization.

About you:

● 3- 5 years of experience

● Expertise in the following areas ○ Java ○ HTTP Protocol

● You’ve heard of or worked with some of the following tech stacks/products ○ Spring ○ PostgreSQL ○ Redis ○ Docker ○ Message brokers ○ GitHub

● These non-functional areas are familiar to you ○ Performance ○ Debugging ○ Log management

Nice to have:

● Familiarity with AWS

Required Skillset

• Experience in Core Java 1.8 and above, Data Structures, OOPS, Multithreading, Algorithms, Collections, System Design, Unix/Linux. • Possess good architectural knowledge and be aware of enterprise application design patterns. • Should be able to analyze, design, develop and test complex, low-latency client-facing applications. • Good development experience with RDBMS. • Good knowledge of multi-threading and high-volume server-side development. • Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux. • Excellent problem solving and coding skills in Java. • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. • Should be able to express their design ideas and thoughts.

Job Brief-

• Understand product requirements and come up with solution approaches. • Build and enhance large scale domain centric applications. • Deploy high quality deliverables into production adhering to the security, compliance and SDLC guidelines.

• Good knowledge of multi-threading and high volume server side development

 Core Skills:

 Strong experience of Core Java (1.7 or higher), OOPS concepts and Spring framework (Core,     AOP, Batch, JMS)

 Demonstrated design using Web Services (SOAP and REST)

 Demonstrated Microservices APIs design experience using Spring, Springboot

 Demonstrable experience in Databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL development etc

Strong coding skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent understanding of Authentication, Identity Management, REST APIs, security and best practices

 Good understanding of web servers like Tomcat Apache, nginx or Vertex/ Grizzly, JBoss etc

 Experience in OAuth principles

 Strong understanding of various Design patterns

Other Skills:

  Familiarity with Java Cryptography Architecture (JCA)

 Understanding of API Gateways like Zuul, Eureka Server etc..

 Familiarity with Apache Kafka, MQTT etc.

Responsibilities:

 Design, develop, test and debug software modules for an enterprise security product

 Find areas of optimization and produce high quality code

 Collaborate with product managers and other members of the project team in requirements specification and detailed engineering analysis.

 Collaborate with various stake holders and help bring proactive closure on the issues

 Evaluate various technology trends and bring in the best practices

 Innovate and come out of the box solutions

Adapt, thrive and deliver in a highly evolving and demanding product development team

Come up with ways to provide an improved customer experience

• Development & maintenance of Cleartrip’s product lines
• Involved in entire lifecycle including analysis, development, fixing, and monitoring of issues on the assigned Cleartrip product lines
• Unit test cases – Review and writing

• 2+ years of Product Development experience
• Java, Spring Framework preferred
• Solid experience with databases (Oracle/MySQL) – a must
• Excellent OO and design skills
• Experience with Test Driven Development within a continuous Integration environment (Lunt, CruiseControl, etc)
