Product Manager

Purchase Engineer will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Source Raw materials, fabrication & consumable electrical items.

• Run MRP thrice a week for optimal results.

• Raise & issue PO to supplier, 

• Ensure on-time supplier delivery;

• Raise debit-note for rejected materials; 

• Update stores for returning rejected materials;

• Update pending work order status/report to Suppliers;

• Reviewing, evaluating, consolidating, upgrading and approving purchase requests;

• Track price changes & prepare comparative statements;

• Craft negotiation strategies and close commercial deals with best terms;

• Ensure clear requirements documentation;

• Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers;

• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries;

• Examine & resolve shortages and quality issues; procurement delays;

• Coordinate regularly with Sales, Production, Engineering, Quality, Stores, HR & Admin, Process & Accounts Departments;

• Maintain records/reports as per ISO requirements;

• Work non-traditional hours on weekends and holidays during exigencies;

• Any other task assigned by management; 

• Reporting to Dy Manager-Purchase

Key Result Areas/KRAs (annual evaluation across entire Company) for Purchase Engineer:

• Identifying & recommending Suppliers; 

• Coordinating with Suppliers by raising Enquiries, Purchase Orders And Receipt Of Materials;

• Follow–up on all Orders placed;

• Analysing the purchase requirements.

• Developing and maintaining systems to procure material.

• Cost Reduction - alternate Vendor Development;

• Handle any related matters to Purchase;

• Responsible for timely passing of the bills;

• Responsible in gathering & sorting related documents for Purchase;

• Responsible for timely delivery of the material.

Responsibilities:

• Take on complex problems that span multiple components and teams.

• Independently own one or more multiple modules, which include: requirement analysis, design, development, maintenance & support

• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules that handle the interaction between multiple components.

• Rapidly iterate to add new functionalities and solves complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions

• Produce architecture with clean interfaces, that are efficient and scalable

• Participate and contribute to architectural discussions

• Solve production issues. Investigate and provide solutions to minimize the business impact due to the outage

• Continuously improve performance metrics of modules you own.

• Collaborate effectively across teams to solve problems, execute and deliver results

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science

• Software engineering and product delivery experience, with a strong background in algorithms

• Experience in architecting & building real-time, large-scale e-commerce applications

• Experience with high-performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus

• Excellent command over Data Structures and Algorithms

• Experience with web technologies, Go/Java/Python

• Language: GO or Python

• Strong expertise in DS and Algo

• Strong leadership skills - have experience mentoring, building products from scratch or incumbent in design and architecture.

• Have worked in the scaling of the system right from scratch.

• Someone worked in small user base to a large user base and wrote optimized code

• Both HLD and LLD

 Supervise customer service team, including coaching, training and daily assignments of

customer service agents; responsible for providing feedback of the agents to the agency

and for course corrections

 Liaise with customer service agency project manager, ensuring efficient communication

channels are put in place between Mobile App team and customer agency. 

 Develop policies and procedures. Prepare a playbook that customer service agents follow to

resolve customer inquiries, including workflows and SOPs. Policies and procedures must

balance satisfying customer needs and supporting the goals of the organization. This would

include constant review and revision as customer needs change and the business evolves.

 Ensure that customer service agents are equipped with an up-to-date repository of responses.

 Respond to customer queries, as needed.

 Responsible for configuring and managing HubSpot dashboard, with the goal to fulfill data &

analytics requirements from different stakeholders.

 Lead/Facilitate meetings with different stakeholders at regular intervals to ensure relevant data

is being effectively communicated to the various departments as needed. 

 Serve as point person for product team to provide future enhancements, bug fixes etc /

back communication from stakeholders. Be the voice of the customer advocating for

changes most requested/needed.
