Product Designer

Role Overview

The Data / Business Analyst plays a key role in Customer’s Data Hub initiative, supporting the delivery of standardized, trusted, and compliant regulatory data across the organization. This role act as the bridge between business requirements, data governance, and technical implementation ensuring that data pipelines, models, and mappings are accurate, validated, and ready for business use.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with source system owners and regulatory stakeholders to gather and refine data pipeline requirements.

Translate data pipeline requirements into epics and stories ready for refinement in Jira.

Lead backlog refinement sessions with data architects, domain leads, and scientists to prioritize data ingestion and transformation activities.

Define story structure to comprise the requirements of the work to be done and the definition of done and the different types of tasks relevant for the domain to accomplish with their associated roles, documented in a Confluence page.

Endorse the role of agile scrum master for the RDH team: coach team members in self-management, organize high-value increments in sprints meeting the definition of done

Identify and document potential data issues including quality, normalization, duplication, completeness, or governance gaps and share findings with the Data Domain and platform Lead.

Work closely with Data Architects to define and document the data transformation pipeline architecture.

Support the Data Architect in defining and maintaining the data models used across regulatory use cases by reviewing proposed changes and evaluate their relevance towards new requirements.

Support the review phase led by the Data Domain Lead, verifying that the regulatory and business context is preserved across transformed datasets.

Validate that all data mappings and transformations meet regulatory compliance, data quality, and analytical readiness standards.

Collaborate with Data Scientists to define mapping logic for regulatory entities such as substances, studies, and documents.

Review the design of quality control pipelines, ensuring mapping accuracy and alignment with analytical expectations.

Comprehensive and well-documented data pipeline and transformation specifications

Defined and validated data models and business-aligned mapping definitions

Clear and traceable backlog refinement inputs and prioritization documentation

Continuous collaboration and feedback loop with the Data Domain Lead, Platform Lead and Data Science teams

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science

5+ years of experience in data or business analysis e.g., Life Sciences, Agrochemical, or Pharma domain

Demonstrated expertise in data transformation pipelines, and data quality frameworks

Familiarity with metadata management and data governance principles

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables

Excellent communication and documentation skills, with experience collaborating across disciplines e.g. Data Scientists, Architects, Domain Leads, Platform Leads

A collaborative and proactive approach, comfortable working in iterative, agile environments

High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities

Self-motivated and adaptable, able to navigate ambiguity and evolving project priorities in a complex data environment

Strong Product Designer, with focus on B2C Products

Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 6+ YOE in Product Design (both UI and UX) with atleast 3+ years in B2C companies

Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have experience building or working with highly scaled Design systems

Mandatory (Skills): Must have strong knowledge and experience of design with Ai tools(Figma Cloud, Chatgpt)

Mandatory (Portfolio): Must have strong product design portfolio of Good B2C Products, with at least 2 detailed case studies

Mandatory (Company): B2C Product companies, B2B experience with prior exposure to B2C is also acceptable (High scaled company, mostly unicorns)

Mandatory (Stability): Must have stayed for a minimum of 2 years with each of the previous companies

Mandatory (Leadership): Must have atleast 2 years of experience leading a team of designers

Mandatory (Note): CV must have portfolio link with at least 2 detailed case study

Preferred

Preferred (Education): Graduate from Tier-1 colleges (IIT, NID, NIFT, BITS etc)

Preferred (Skills 1): Experience in subscription-based or marketplace products, CRO, and international market localization

Preferred (Skills 2): Exposure to AI-powered personalization and recommendation systems

We're looking for an experienced and mature engineer (2-6 yrs experience), who wants to build incredible products while shaping the architecture, tools, and engineering culture of our company

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build our native Android application using Java or Kotlin.
• Set up our backend using either the MEAN (Mongo, Node) or Django stack.
• Collaborate with the design team on feasibility and design reviews.
• Set up DevOps processes - CI/CD and release management.
• Hire an additional backend engineer to scale the application based on requirements.

Requirements:

• You possess strong computer science fundamentals.
• You have native Android application development skills - with Java/Kotlin as a framework.
• You have strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• You have built backends for mobile applications - using the MEAN or Django stack.
• You have some mobile app projects that are worthy of public view (Play Store, Github).
• You like discussing a plan upfront, welcome open collaboration and are an excellent verbal and written communicator.
• We’re a fast-paced environment so while we value robustness, we also hope for speed. You’ll hop from project to project and should be a self-starter.
• You are open to learning new stuff (important).
• You are humble, kind, and are open to feedback (important)

About the Role

Dremio’s user experience is one of its  key differentiators and makes all your data easily accessible and shareable by your data consumers. UI Engineers at Dremio are responsible for the development of  the user interface and user experience on Dremio’s Data Lake Engine.

Responsibilities and ownership

• Own the  full cycle of development of our modern single page web application from inception, design, development, testing, and production.
• Care deeply about modular design patterns and frameworks  to deliver an architecture that’s rooted in simplicity, that’s easy to iterate on and constantly evolve.
• Passionate about ease of use, experience and quality of the product.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• 2 years minimum experience with React is highly preferred and currently utilizing React in their current job.
• Strong coding experience in JavaScript (or TypeScript), HTML, and CSS.
• Passion about UI development and UX design
• Shown proven success in delivering high-quality front end applications
• Fluency in the understanding of SQL and databases (relational or non-relational)
• B.S. or M.S  in Computer Science in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience
