Position Title: Admission Counselor

Job Location: Jodhpur.

Job Summary:

As an Admission Counselor, you will be responsible for recruiting, advising, and admitting prospective students to the institution. You will serve as a liaison between the institution and potential students, guiding them through the admissions process and providing information about academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and other relevant topics. Your goal will be to attract a diverse and qualified pool of female applicants and ensure a seamless transition from application to enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the institution at high schools, college fairs, and community events to promote programs and opportunities.:
• Provide personalized guidance to prospective students, addressing their questions and concerns about academic programs, admissions requirements, and campus resources.
• Assist students in identifying their academic and career goals and how they align with the institution's offerings.
• Cultivate positive relationships with high school counsellors, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the institution and foster partnerships.
• Maintain contact with admitted students to facilitate their transition to enrollment and address any concerns they may have.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, applicant interactions, and admissions decisions using the institution's CRM or admissions software.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counselling, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or counselling, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of admissions processes, financial aid options, and higher education trends.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate recruitment events and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS. 
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture. 
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible. 
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability. 
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required: 

• At least 2 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds. 
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases. 
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j. 
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs. 
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks. 
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks. 
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications. 
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools. 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. 
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms. 
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences. 
• Experience building a large scale social or location-based app.

Overall leadership for all technical functions including product strategy implementation and server releases

Experience: 5 years and above 

Qualification: B. Tech from a reputed institute

Expertise in Core Java (Multithreading, Collections, etc.) and am comfortable with Unix, Oracle PL/SQL with a sound understanding of the complete SDLC process

Design Patterns, Algorithms, Data structures, OOP concepts & OO Design principles

Have done extensive work in software development

Project Management exposure is an added advantage for this candidate

JS, Jquery and CSS exposure of minimum 1.5 yrs

Candidates from gaming industry are preferred
