Role & Responsibilities

• You take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure, design, scale, and operate it. This goes beyond execution. Here's what that looks like day to day:
• Own the design, architecture, and reliability of Locus's cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Aliyun, supporting multi-region, global deployments.
• Lead the evolution of our CI/CD ecosystem, optimize and refactor our Jenkins-as-Code setup for scalability, performance, and developer efficiency.
• Drive the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) journey end-to-end, migrate existing cloud resources, alarms, and configurations fully into code with strong versioning, review, and rollback practices.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability bottlenecks, deep dives into memory, CPU, networking, and storage constraints.
• Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response best practices, improve MTTR, system observability, and operational readiness.
• Lead initiatives around cost optimization, security hardening, and capacity planning, keep infrastructure efficient and compliant as the platform scales.
• Act as a technical mentor for junior DevOps engineers and raise the overall DevOps maturity across teams.

• Strong Senior DevOps Engineer Profile
• Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure roles with hands-on experience (clear scale signals like traffic, uptime, latency, infra size should be mentioned)
• Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have B2B SaaS company experience with multi-tenant architecture OR multiple production stacks (multi-env / multi-client systems)
• Mandatory (Tech Skills 1 - Cloud & Infra): AWS (VPC, EKS, EC2, RDS, networking), Kubernetes (EKS) at scale, Designing high availability, multi-region systems
• Mandatory (Tech Skills 2 - Automation & IaC): Terraform (must-have), Helm / GitOps, Strong scripting (Python / Go / Bash)
• Mandatory (Tech Skills 3 - CI/CD & Release): Scalable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins), Zero/low downtime deployments
• Mandatory (Tech Skills 4 - Reliability & Observability): SRE principles (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets), Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), Alerting, on-call, incident management
• Mandatory (Education): BTech in Computer Science or related fields
• Mandatory (Company): Strong B2B SaaS product companies only (good scaled)

We are looking for very hands-on DevOps engineers with 3 to 6 years of experience. The person will be part of a team that is responsible for designing & implementing automation from scratch for medium to large scale cloud infrastructure and providing 24x7 services to our North American / European customers. This also includes ensuring ~100% uptime for almost 50+ internal sites. The person is expected to deliver with both high speed and high quality as well as work for 40 hours per week (~6.5 hours per day, 6 days per week) in shifts that will rotate every month.

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent

• 2+ Years of hands-on experience troubleshooting/setting up of the Linux environment, who can write shell scripts for any given requirement.

• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up/configuring AWS or GCP services from SCRATCH and maintaining them.

• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up/configuring Kubernetes & EKS and ensuring high availability of container orchestration.

• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up CICD from SCRATCH in Jenkins & Gitlab.

• Experience configuring/maintaining one monitoring tool.

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

• Candidates with certifications - AWS, GCP, CKA, etc will be preferred

• Hands-on experience with databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, RDS).

Experience:

• Min 3 years of experience as DevOps automation engineer buildingg, running, and maintaining production sites.

• Not looking for candidates who have experience only as L1/L2 or Build & Deploy.
  
  

Location: Remotely, anywhere in India.

Timings:

• The person is expected to deliver with both high speed and high quality as well as work for 40 hours per week (~6.5 hours per day, 6 days per week) in shifts that will rotate every month.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyse cloud infrastructure requirements

• Automating system tasks and infrastructure using a scripting language (Shell/Python/Ruby

preferred), with configuration management tools (Ansible/ Puppet/Chef), service registry and

discovery tools (Consul and Vault, etc), infrastructure orchestration tools (Terraform,

CloudFormation), and automated imaging tools (Packer)

• Support existing infrastructure, analyse problem areas and come up with solutions

• An eye for monitoring – the candidate should be able to look at complex infrastructure and be

able to figure out what to monitor and how.

• Work along with the Engineering team to help out with Infrastructure / Network automation needs.

• Deploy infrastructure as code and automate as much as possible

• Manage a team of DevOps

Desired Profile:

• Understanding of provisioning of Bare Metal and Virtual Machines

• Working knowledge of Configuration management tools like Ansible/ Chef/ Puppet, Redfish.

• Experience in scripting languages like Ruby/ Python/ Shell Scripting

• Working knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing, firewalling & IPS concepts

• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.

• Self-starter who can implement with minimal guidance

• Hands-on experience setting up CICD from SCRATCH in Jenkins

• Experience with Managing K8s infrastructure

• Proven experience in handling large infrastructure and distributed systems like Kafka, Yarn, Elastic Search, etc..
• Familiarity with Python-related technologies and frameworks like Django or Pyramid.
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration (e.g. filesystems, inodes, system calls, etc) or networking (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, network topologies, and hardware, SDN, etc)
• Familiarity with at least one of the cloud computing infrastructures - GCP / Azure / AWS
• Familiarity with task queue frameworks like Celery or Pika is a plus.
• Source code management and Implementation of security best practices.
• Experienced in building monitoring/metrics & alerting tool (APM tool), a custom dashboard for each Application stack against the supported environment
• Good understanding & implementation experience using 12-factor App principles
• Awareness of Cloud Security concepts
• Awareness of Information Security concepts and Best Practices

- You will manage all elements of the post-sale program relationship with your customers, starting with customer on-boarding and continuing throughout the customer relationship. 

- As the primary customer interface, you engage with customer teams to educate, identify needs, develop designs, set goals, manage and execute on plans that unlock continuous, incremental value from their investments in the CloudPassage Halo platform.

- You are hands-on during execution and thoroughly enjoy seeing your security projects come to life and supporting them afterwards. You are a trusted adviser.

Responsibilities :

- Manage a portfolio of 5+ Enterprise customer accounts with complex needs (typical enterprise customers invest between $500k and $4m+ per year with CloudPassage, have hundreds to tens of thousands of individual public cloud infrastructure deployments, and protect hundreds of thousands of cloud infrastructure assets with Halo).

- Provide level-3 technical support on your customer's most complex issues

- Lead implementation of low-level security controls in Cloud environments, for services, server and containers

- Remotely diagnose & resolve DevSecOps issues in customer environments - able to resolve their DevOps issues that may be interfering with CloudPassage processing.

- Interact with CloudPassage Engineering team by providing customer issue reproduction and data capture, technical diagnostics and validating fixes. QA experience preferred.

- Establish and program manage proactive, value-driven, high-touch relationships with your customers to understand, document and align customer strategies, business objectives, designs, processes and projects with Halo platform capabilities and broader CloudPassage services.

- Develop a trusted advisor relationship by building and maintaining appropriate relationships at all levels with your customer accounts, creating a premium and high-caliber experience.

- Ensure continued satisfaction, identify & confirm unaddressed customer needs that can be value-add opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell, and communicate those needs to the CloudPassage sales team. Identify any early CSAT issues and renewal risks and work with the internal team to remediate and ensure strong CSAT and a successful renewal.

- Be a strong customer advocate within CloudPassage and identify and support areas for improvement in the customer experience, both in our product and processes.

- Be team-oriented, but with a bias towards action to get things done for your customers.

Requirements : Strong cloud security knowledge & experience including :

- End-to-end enterprise security processes

- Cloud security - cloud migrations & shift in security requirements, tooling & approach

- Hands-on DevOps, DevSecOps architecture & automation (critical)

- 4+ years experience in security consulting and project/program management serving cybersecurity customers.

- Complex, level 3 technical support

- Remotely diagnosing & resolving DevSecOps issues in customer environments

- Interacting with CloudPassage Engineering team with customer issue reproduction

- Experience working in a security SaaS company in a startup environment.
 
- Experience working with Executive and C-Level teams.

- CI/CD processes and environments.

Familiar Technical Skills & Knowledge : Python scripting & REST API's, Docker containers, Zendesk & JIRA.

Must-Have’s:

• Hands-on DevOps (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python/Ruby)  

Job Description:

• Knowledge on what is a DevOps CI/CD Pipeline

• Understanding of version control systems like Git, including branching and merging strategies

Required Skills and Experience 

• 4+ years of relevant experience with DevOps tools Jenkins, Ansible, Chef etc
• 4+ years of experience in continuous integration/deployment and software tools development experience with Python and shell scripts etc
• Building and running Docker images and deployment on Amazon ECS
• Working with AWS services (EC2, S3, ELB, VPC, RDS, Cloudwatch, ECS, ECR, EKS)
• Knowledge and experience working with container technologies such as Docker and Amazon ECS, EKS, Kubernetes
• Experience with source code and configuration management tools such as Git, Bitbucket, and Maven
• Ability to work with and support Linux environments (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, CentOS)
