DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and mobile applications.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS).
• Configure and maintain Docker containers and/or Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.
• Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Manage code repositories using Git/GitHub/GitLab, enforce branching strategies.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Splunk.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment and development workflows.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and improve performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and orchestrators (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of Networking, VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, Security Groups.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools: CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
• Good understanding of Node.js or similar application deployments.
• Knowledge of NGINX/Apache and load balancing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred/Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience with Serverless architectures (Lambda).
• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, RDS.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with security best practices, IAM policies, and DevSecOps.

●              Work with application development teams to identify and understand their operational pain points.

●              Document these challenges and define goals to be achieved by the infrastructure team.

●              Prototype and evaluate multiple solutions, often by experimenting with various vendors and tools available, to achieve the goals undertaken.

●              Rollout tools and processes with heavy focus on automation.

●              Evangelize and help onboard application development teams on the platforms provided by the infrastructure team.

●              Co-own the responsibility with application development teams to ensure the reliability of services.

●              Design and implement solutions around observability to ensure ease of maintenance and quick debugging of services

●              Establish and implement administrative and operational best practices in the application development teams.

●              Find avenues to reduce infrastructure costs and drive optimization in all services.

●              5+ years of experience as a DevOps / Infrastructure engineer with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)

●              Experience with git, CI / CD, Docker, etc

●              Experience in working with infrastructure as code (Terraform, etc).

●              Strong Linux Shell scripting experience

●              Experience with one of the programming languages like Python, Java, Kotlin, etc.

• Candidate should have good Platform experience on Azure with Terraform.
• The devops engineer  needs to help developers, create the Pipelines and K8s Deployment Manifests.
• Good to have experience on migrating data from (AWS) to Azure. 
• To manage/automate infrastructure automatically using Terraforms. Jenkins is the key CI/CD tool which we uses and it will be used to run these Terraforms.
• VMs to be provisioned on Azure Cloud and managed.
• Good hands on experience of Networking on Cloud is required.
• Ability to setup Database on VM as well as managed DB and Proper set up of cloud hosted microservices needs to be done to communicate with the db services.
• Kubernetes, Storage, KeyValult, Networking(load balancing and routing) and VMs are the key infrastructure expertise which are essential. 
• Requirement is  to administer Kubernetes cluster end to end. (Application deployment, managing namespaces, load balancing, policy setup, using blue-green/canary deployment models etc).
• The experience in AWS is desirable 
• Python experience is optional however Power shell is mandatory
• Know-how on the use of GitHub

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters on EKS and EC2 instances

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in AWS DevOps and infrastructure engineering
• Expertise in Kubernetes management, Docker, EKS, EC2, Queues, Python Threads, Celery Optimization, Load balancers, AWS cost optimizations, Elasticsearch, Container management, and observability best practices
• Experience with SOC2 compliance and vulnerability assessment best practices for microservices
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, and Go
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment

● Deploy, automate and maintain web-scale infrastructure with leading public cloud vendors such as Amazon Web Services, Digital Ocean & Google Cloud Platform.

● Take charge of DevOps activities for CI/CD with the latest tech stacks.
