Eligible is a healthcare infrastructure company. Our customers rely on us to provide high quality, high availability services to their clients. The reliability and resilience of our systems are vitally important for the success of our company, and thus Operations, Infrastructure, and Security staff are critical contributors to Eligible’s success. We are currently looking to grow our Technical Operations and Infrastructure Engineering teams. We are seeking staff that will help us continue improving and evolving our systems as we scale. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience working on SaaS offerings and with scaling cloud services. We can promise challenging tasks shared with a team of highly-skilled engineers. High-Level Responsibilities: * Work with the engineering team daily to ensure the quality and reliability of the systems we deploy in production. * Work with the security and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure, code, and business processes maintain the highest standards of quality and security controls. * Increase instrumentation and automation in all aspects of day to day operations. * Troubleshoot and resolve any issues occurring in our production environments, ensuring uptime, and seeking constant refining of all systems as a result. * Design and implement new systems to improve the reliability and resilience of all product and service offerings. * Participate in the on-call rotation.

About the role: 
1. Eligible provides fully integrated liability calculators for its customers. You will work on everything from designing new features, refactoring existing libraries to browser-specific tweaks. 
2. You will be responsible for maintaining/updating both our internal and external websites.
 3. You will be working with our product engineering and design team.
 4. Everything is secondary to the customer experience. We expect you to have a keen sense of how your code will impact the experience in terms of performance, security, and usability. 
5. Communication is the key in remote teams.
 6. You will have opportunities to learn full stack and frontend development through peer mentorship and collaboration.
 7. You will have to write extensive tests for the code you are writing. 

 About you: 
1. Experience with modern JS development practices. 
2. Worked on JS projects at scale. 
3. Able to write readable and maintainable code. 
4. Great communication skills, should be able to present your doubts in a clear and concise way. 
5. Strong understanding of good CSS patterns with a comfort using pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
 6. Not intimidated by amending Webpack or structuring NPM builds. 
7. Excellent problem-solving skills. Understanding customer requirements, and coming up with the solution. Always talk about X (problem requirements) first.
 8. Knowledge of Rails/Ruby is a plus.
