Strong technical background in Android application development and Kotlin

Analyse and understand the JIRA business stories and design the technical solutions.  

• Design, Develop, and evaluate the AWS Cloud based technical solutions.  
• Lead, Track tasks, Oversee, and mentor less experienced team members.  
• Integrate with other SPE proprietary applications using RESTful webservices complying latest industry design and coding standards.  
• Strong Knowledge of technical principles, practices, and procedures to implement and keep SPEs standard complex system solutions.  
• Strong understanding and first-hand experience on agile software development approaches in a fast paced and continuously changing B2B marketing business environment.  
• Working on large scale systems development or integration projects, acting as the Project lead performing analysis and documenting technical requirements, data requirements, data architecture and relationships.  
• Provide subject matter expertise on overall IT solution, system and data flow architecture for Spring based micro services.  
• Provide primary technology support for in-house proprietary B2B projects with supported application platforms.  
• Review & approve Github Pull requests using the existing Application Development Frameworks and Coding Standards. 
• Provide production support in managing the application incidents and priority-based problem resolution.

Key skills: Java full stack developer with React Js experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance the state of the art in building Microservices with Java and frontend applications with React JS.
• Design and Develop Cloud based, web applications for SMBs
• Design and develop the front end for customer-facing applications using MVC framework
• Design and develop supporting components and Microservices for the backend tiers focusing on fault-tolerance and scalability in a multi-tenant B2B2C environment
• Team with top-notch engineers, product managers, Dev Ops and QA following agile development methodologies
• Review functional requirements, providing technical feedback on feasibility and architectural approach and framework.
• Develop technical specifications
• Contribute to test plan development.
• Create Prototype and/or Proof of Concepts (POCs) when necessary
• Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentor junior engineers and new team members, perform code reviews and apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
• Manage and maintain Cloud infrastructure
• Maintain and improve the functionality and performance of the existing web applications; refactor legacy codebase
• Help shape and execute the technical roadmap to develop next generation features; integrate corporate- and product-level architecture principles and goals into the teams project work through designs, implementation strategies, and project planning.
• Drive a culture of quality, technical curiosity, continuous improvement, and evidence-based data driven decision making in the organization.
• Lead team in software development best practices including Peer Code Review, Unit testing, Automated Deployments, and Automated Testing.
• Write technical documentation

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field.
Experience with Java, Spring, and Restful API's.
Experience with Database development (MySQL, Postgres, etc).

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role. Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js).
Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache), and UI/UX design.
Experience with AWS or other cloud environments

• Writing clean and efficient code for Android applications.
• Atleast published 1-2 apps on play store.
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.
• Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.

• You have prior exposure to Kotlin, Android SDK.
• Understanding of design patterns and mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM / MVC / MVP.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to effectively integrate Android applications.
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• You are a problem solver with good analytical skills.
• Prior experience in accessibility applications or voice-based applications will be a plus not a necessity
