About the Role:

Davis Index, a leader in providing market intelligence for the recycling industry, is seeking an experienced Mobile Developer. This role involves pushing the boundaries of mobile technology to deliver efficient and user-friendly software solutions.

We are seeking a skilled React Mobile Developer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development using React Native, NextJS with TypeScript for frontend development, and NodeJS and Django for backend. With proven experience in building high-quality applications for both Android and iOS platforms. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of our mobile applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mobile applications using React Native, typescript, next js and so forth for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure robustness, performance, and maintainability of applications by integrating best practices.
• Maintain and enhance existing mobile applications by fixing bugs and improving performance.
• Work with backend services using TypeScript and PostgreSQL to ensure seamless data integration and synchronization.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge by sharing best practices and lessons learned.
• Stay up-to-date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols to continuously enhance the functionality and design of our applications.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and familiarity with Redux
• Strong experience in NodeJS and Django for backend development.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB and Postgres.
• Experience with DevOps tools, preferably Docker.
• Knowledge of REST API development and integration.
• Demonstrated passion for building clear, maintainable products in design and implementation.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
• Experience in working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform well in a team-oriented, agile environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Swift).

• 6+ years of experience in Software Development and writing Unit tests for Mobile Apps
• Excellent designing, debugging and programming skills in an Object oriented programming language like C#, Java, javascript, Swift, Dart etc.
