Android Developer - Kotlin

Stealth AI Labs looking for a Lead iOS engineer with 6+ years of experience in app development. We need someone urgently, you will be starting next week or asap.

If you currently have a full-time job and want to work Part Time we are ok.

You will be building the app from Scratch based on Figma designs. You will be a part of the founding engineering team. We are working on a cutting-edge technology stack. You will get the opportunity to work on a massive scale project and very complex problems which will help you grow as an engineer. Our restful backend is built in Golang which can handle millions of concurrent users.

Requirements:

• Experience building iOS apps or apps used by millions of users is a MUST
• We have hard deadlines, speed of development is essential and we want someone who is delivery oriented
• We will be using Swift for the development
• Attention to detail for performance optimization and benchmarking
• Knowledge of reducing app size, minimizing app launch time, skeleton loading
• Write well documented & maintainable code
• Implement automated testing and unit tests for the code you write
• Self-starter mentality who can pick up new skills & can work independently

Key Responsibilities:

• Writing clean and efficient codes for Android applications
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new feature.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Ability to brainstorm and come up with solutions to open ended problems.
• Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives end to end.
• Desire to learn and dive deep into new technologies on the job.
• Solid understanding of CS fundamentals-Operating Systems, Databases and Data Structure.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Prior experience as an Android Developer using Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, Android NDK
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to effectively integrate Android applications
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Passion for products and aspiration to make a big impact.
• Solid engineering principles and clear understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Expertise in implementation of custom UI components along with fabulous animations and write/understand Rest APIs
• Experience working with Google Maps, Social APIs, Geo-locations, Media permissions, SMS fetch, etc.

Job responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores, and support.
• Diagnose performance issues, fix bugs (including crashes and ANRs) to increase the functionality of the application
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
• Collaborate with team members (product managers, developers, designers) to brainstorm about new features and functionalities.

• Knowledge and experience in Flutter Framework and DART programming
• Hands-on experience in using RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing micro-services architecture and containers
• Object-oriented analysis, UML, and design using common design patterns.
• Hands-on experience in the development IDE Android Studio, Android SDK, Firebase Test Lab
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with push notifications
• Familiarity with IOS integration with Flutter
• Experience using GitHub or a similar environment
• Experience with Agile development is a plus
• Experience with Material Design and Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Good knowledge of adding third-party libraries
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• A track record of delivering successful complex consumer product apps (finance apps, e-commerce apps)
• Critical thinker
• Knoweldge on Adobe XD/ Figma/ Sketch
• knowledge on GetX will be plus

• Relevant experience in building a mobile application using React Native.
• Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components for mobile and implementing them following well-known React workflows. (such as Flux or Redux)
• You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. 
• You will be coordinating with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. 
• Should have published at least 2 live hybrid mobile applications. 
• Good understanding of Android / iOS / Web design guidelines, SDK and excellent JavaScript skills. 
• Expertise in RESTful APIs development. 
• Expertise with code testing best practices, including unit and integration testing to ensure a quality of code. 
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, TFS and Agile/SCRUM Development methodologies
