Role Summary:

Looking for a Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in IoT manual and automation testing, including API, protocol, and performance testing.

🌟 Key Responsibilities:

✅ Test IoT devices, APIs, microservices, and cloud systems

✅Perform manual, integration, regression, and security testing

✅Automate API and protocol-level test cases

✅Execute performance and load testing

✅Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines

🌟 Required Skills:

✅IoT protocols (MQTT, REST, HTTP/HTTPS)

✅Networking concepts

✅API testing: REST Assured, Karate, Postman/Newman

✅Automation frameworks: Pytest / JUnit / TestNG

1. Very good understanding of airline Crew and Ops business processes
2. Experience in UAT and SIT testing including on-site customer interactions (added advantage).
3. Strong business/testing skills – Use case review, Test case creation (Interface, Functional and UAT and End to End ) , review and execution
4. Basic knowledge of SQL, UNIX
5. Experience in API/Interfaces testing
6. Experience with any of the defect tracking systems.

Job Description:

As a QA Associate at Binocs, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our software products. With a direct reporting line to the QA Lead, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and executing test plans to identify software issues. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in engineering, experience in fintech or finance software companies, and a passion for quality assurance and detail-oriented testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Plan Development: Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results to ensure software quality.
• Issue Documentation: Document and track bugs, as well as collaborate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in testing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Software Validation: Validate that product features meet requirement specifications and are free of defects.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product management and development teams to understand product vision and deliver software that aligns with customer and market needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within fintech or finance software companies.
• Familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA metrics, including bug tracking and reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

JD for QA Engineer:

• Must have worked on web based applications like React(Frontend) and Drupal CMS(backend)
• Understand requirements, develop test plan, execute manual test cases, dig deeper into issues, identify root causes and articulate defects clearly.
• Strive for excellence in quality by looking beyond obvious scenarios and stated requirements and by keeping end user needs in mind.
• Deliver a high quality robust product in a fast paced environment.
• Work closely with the Development, Product Management, Design and Content team for release of the feature/product.

• Experience of SQL and Database and API Testing.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Understanding of Performance, and Security Testing techniques.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and hands-on with Unix shell commands.
• Hands on experience with technologies like React, and Drupal CMS

Responsibilities

1-Should have played a vital role in Setting up Automation Frameworks, Processes, and Standards.

2-Expert proficiency in automation scripting using Java or other scripting languages.

3-Experience in using automation tools like Selenium/Webdriver, Sikuli, Junit/JMeter, etc.

4-Good expertise in System, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Ad-Hoc, Browser Compatibility, and Interface testing.

5-Prepare test case for Functional, Non-Functional, Integration and Usability, UI.

6-Experienced with a defect and bug tracking tools like Bugzilla, JIRA, etc.

7-Hands on experience in Test Planning, Test designing, and Test Execution, Defect Tracking & Defect Reporting.

8-Experience working in an agile development environment and scrum methodologies.

9- Involvement in setting up Test Environments, Requirements Management, Requirement Analysis.

10-Good understanding of database.

11-Should have experience in API testing.

12- Should have knowledge of payment gateway testing.

13- Good Knowledge of Performance Testing, Regression Testing, DataBase testing, Android Testing.
