Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate QA Intern to join our dynamic team. As a QA Intern, you will work closely with the development and product teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions. This role is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications, identifying bugs and inconsistencies.
• Write, execute, and maintain test cases and scripts.
• Assist in functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Report and document bugs clearly and concisely using tools like Jira.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Familiar with manual testing concepts and automation tools.
• Knowledge of web and mobile application testing.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for documenting issues and discussing solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to automation testing tools like Selenium or Appium is a plus.
• Understanding of API testing tools like Postman and Swagger.
• Familiarity with agile practices and tools like Jira or Trello.

Educational Qualification:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.

Skills & Qualification:

1. BE or MCA
2. 2+ years of relevant work experience
3. Experience in Manual Testing of App, Web and APIs
4. Basic Knowledge of SQL
5. Knowledge of JavaScript and Automation Tool like Selinium, Jmeter etc. is preferred

• Creating detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Writing manual test cases for the application against the requirements
• Handling the testing project independently
• Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures
• Verifying test result and logging defect in the tool

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Must have 2- 4 years of manual testing experience in Embedded Systems
• 3-6 years Embedded QA engineering experience
• Expertise in Functional and System Testing
• Experience in communication protocols such as SPI, I2C etc
• Experience in handling the LAB equipments for the embedded devices
• Strong hands-on in embedded product testing
• Knowledge of Audio Testing is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivation with the ability to drive features to delivery

About the Role:

What are we looking for:

1. Strong understanding of Software Testing methodologies and Test design with Saas apps
2. 2+ years of experience in Manual  testing on Web using Postman, Jira or similar tools
3. Excellent communication and documentation skills with a strong attention to detail
4. Good understanding of Python / JavaScript and  Linux commands, SQL Databases
5. Good to have: Knowledge of performance and security testing, understanding of Jenkins, Kibana, Git, JMeter and hands-on experience with JUnit, Mocha (JavaScript), Any JavaScript e2e testing framework
6. Ability to interact with folks internally and externally to gather insights and handle multiple activities at once
7. Ability to think strategically and implement with excellence

As a test engineer at Recko, you will:

1. Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements while ensuring  the quality of the system as a whole 
2. Prove for scalability and performance of a software while running quality controls on components and final products
3. Develop and automate tests for software validation
4. Detect, investigate and troubleshoot bug and production issues
5. Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures
6. Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
7. Gather product requirements (e.g. functionalities, speed, safety standards), 
8. Develop test plan, test scenarios and test cases and analyze the test results, detect issues and track root causes
9. Document technical issues and solutions as well as prepare file defect reports and report test progress
