Job Description – Service Engineer

Experience: 4+ Years

Industry Preference: FMCG / Food & Beverage / Packaging / Industrial Automation

Travel: Pan India (Short Notice)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, startup, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, configure, and test equipment to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Conduct equipment inspections and pre-installation assessments before commissioning.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications.
• Train customer personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and documentation after every service visit.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, service, and spare parts teams for technical support and issue resolution.
• Recommend spare parts, wear parts, and preventive maintenance solutions to customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and customer site regulations.
• Maintain service tools, testing instruments, and equipment in proper working condition.
• Provide technical assistance to fellow service engineers and technicians when required.
• Be available for extensive Pan India travel, including short-notice assignments and occasional weekend or holiday support.

Understand client business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Conduct requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, and technical documentation.

Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide technical guidance and recommend suitable technologies, architectures, and solutions.

Participate in system integration, implementation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Prepare technical specifications, solution documents, architecture diagrams, and project documentation.

Act as a technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

Identify technical risks, dependencies, and challenges and provide appropriate solutions.

Support pre-sales activities, including technical discussions, solution presentations, and proposal preparation when required.

Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Minimum 4 to 14 Years OTM Technical / Functional experience

• Must have functional and techno-functional experience in OTM implementation and/or have supported projects dealing with these systems, and/or have worked on OTM Cloud
• Must have strong technical and functional knowledge of the latest OTM Application
• Must have knowledge of preparing mapping document to interface OTM system with EDI, WMS, order management and finance systems, and be able to translate the functional specifications into design specifications for the Offshore Delivery Centre

• Hands on experience on JSPX/XSL will be additional advantage.

• The Machine & Deep Machine Learning Software Engineer (Expertise in Computer Vision) will be an early member of a growing team with responsibilities for designing and developing highly scalable machine learning solutions that impact many areas of our business.
