Role Overview

Senior Business Analyst responsible for

bridging business and technical teams, owning requirements and delivery

outcomes, and operating independently with minimal supervision. The role

requires flexibility to support Product Owner or Project Manager responsibilities

when needed and the ability to work effectively across different domains and

business contexts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead requirement discovery

through workshops, interviews, and analysis.

Translate business needs into

clear specifications, features, and acceptance criteria suited to AI-assisted

delivery, while using epics and user stories when that level of detail is

required.

Own and continuously refine the

product backlog in collaboration with Product Owners and delivery teams.

Support iterative delivery

using Agile practices, including Scrum and Kanban, with continuous refinement,

build, validation, and deployment.

Analyze current and

target-state processes, identify gaps, and recommend practical improvements.

Manage stakeholder

communication and alignment across business, product, engineering, and quality

assurance teams.

Define test scenarios, support

User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and maintain traceability from business

requirements through delivery.

Work closely with development

and QA teams to clarify requirements and ensure that delivered solutions meet

the intended business outcome.

Must-Have Skills and Experience

8-10 years of experience in

business analysis within software or IT delivery environments.

Strong experience in

requirements discovery, analysis, and documentation.

Ability to define

specifications and features with clear, testable acceptance criteria.

Experience working with epics,

user stories, use cases, and product backlogs.

Strong stakeholder management,

facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.

Hands-on experience with Agile

delivery, including Scrum and Kanban.

Experience with API

integrations or API-driven applications.

Prompt engineering skills to

effectively use AI tools for discovery, documentation, analysis, and

collaboration.

Experience planning and

supporting test scenarios and UAT.

Strong analytical,

problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.

Good to Have

Working knowledge of SQL for

data validation and analysis.

Experience with analytics or

business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Familiarity with cloud

platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Experience evaluating

AI-enabled features or collaborating with AI, data, product, and engineering

Exposure to process modelling

techniques such as BPMN.

Education

Bachelor's degree in

Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent

qualification.

Certified Business Analysis

Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA),

Role Overview

This hybrid role combines business analysis and project management. The successful candidate will work closely with the business to produce requirement documentation, product specifications, and other deliverables that follow program standards. The role also works with other IT functions on quality control, training, UAT, early life support, and third-line support in BAU.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Combines business analysis and project management skills. Candidates from a pure project management background will not be considered.

Work Experience

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Ideally from the financial or commodity industry, with market risk and ETRM experience.

The Business Analyst for the CCX Customer Success AI Acceleration workstream partners closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Program teams to translate customer success strategy and AIdriven use cases into clear, actionable requirements that enable scalable delivery. This role sits on the engineering side of the house, acting as a connective layer between business intent, technical execution, and AIenabled platform outcomes. 

The Business Analyst ensures that AI acceleration initiatives across the Customer Success Platform are well‑defined, appropriately prioritized, and traceable from business objectives through system design and delivery. This includes refining problem statements, documenting requirements, supporting backlog readiness, and helping teams move quickly without losing alignment or clarity. 

Requirements 

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting engineering teams, preferably in enterprise, platform, or SaaS environments. 

• Strong ability to translate business needs, customer success objectives, and AI use cases into clear functional and non‑functional requirements. 

• Experience working on AI‑enabled or data‑driven products, including concepts such as automation, recommendations, agentic workflows, or insights powered by analytics.
