JD - Java Developer (Backend Developer)

Technical Requirement:

• At least 5 years of experience in Java, J2EE technologies.
• Expertise in doing development using Java, Spring Boot, Spring modules (Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, etc.), Hibernate, Web Services
• Worked on REST web services.
• Worked on application server : Tomcat
• Worked on Eclipse IDE
• Knowledge of Swagger, Postman
• Worked on Database like MySQL
• Worked on Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines
• Good to have knowledge of using Docker and Mongo DB

Overall Roles & responsibilities:

• Consult with client team to understand business requirements and with solution architects / team lead to understand the application architecture.
• Develop/code applications following specifications using the appropriate tools and adhering to the standard coding standards.
• Coordinate unit testing, integration testing and bug fixing with the development and quality assurance team.
• Plan for defect fixes as per priority and severity mentioned by QA team.
• J Attend daily scrum meeting with entire team and client.

• Proficient in .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework. Strong design capabilities with SOLID principles using C#. Working knowledge in WCF. Database knowledge in SQL Design, and deliver innovative software solutions in collaboration with Technology teams. Develop high-quality production code Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript. Experience in React / Angular or Typescript preferred

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to join our team and work on a client-side project in the BFSI domain. As a Lead Java Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications while leading a team of developers. You will collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in requirement analysis, design, and architecture discussions to ensure effective implementation of client specifications.
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and reliable Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and resolve technical dependencies.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainable code.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any software defects or issues.
• Collaborate with project managers to plan project timelines, allocate resources, and manage deliverables.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Java development and the BFSI domain.
• Proactively identify risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
• Document technical specifications, system design, and other relevant project artifacts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Java developer, with proven experience in leading a development team.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
• Experience with designing and developing scalable and high-performance applications.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and clients.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Java Developer) are a plus.

Additional must-have requirements

• Proficiency in developing RESTful services/API and batch applications in Java
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Data (JPA), Java Messaging Services (JMS) etc.
• Object-oriented design and modelling
• SQL and NoSQL DB like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB etc.
• Familiarity with different architectural patterns like MVC, Microservices, Event Driven architecture etc.
• Automated unit testing and integrated testing
• Comfortable in developing containerized applications using Docker, Docker Compose etc,
• Availability to join within 15 days from the offer date. This is an urgent requirement, and candidates who can start immediately will be given preference.

Contract Details:

This position is a 12-month contractual role based in Bangalore, India. The selected candidate will be expected to work on-site at our client's location.

Key Skills Required:

• 3-8 years of Experience in Java Product Development.
• Good understanding of MYSQL.
• Practitioner of clean code and SOLID principles
• Exposure to GIT and Maven

• Understands different major language paradigms (Object Oriented and Functional)
• Understanding and Experience with Multi-Threaded Applications
• Prior Experience in a SAAS Product company is a Plus 
• Experience with Managing Team is a plus

Educational Background:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from Tier 1 College is a Plus.

• 4+ years exp with solid backend/engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

You should primarily be a backend developer or full stack developer, very good at code reviews and code optimization. Our products depend on processing large amounts of data and having fast response times is absolutely essential.

• Strong understanding of SQL databases
• Proficient knowledge of various authentication methods like JWT, OAuth etc..
• Perform peer code reviews and Code audit - Analyze existing code and remediate performance issues within existing applications
