Java Developer

As a Senior Software Developer at Quantiphi, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and modernizing enterprise-grade applications using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, build scalable and secure solutions, lead cloud migration initiatives, and mentor engineering teams while ensuring high standards of software quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core.
• Implement scalable, maintainable, and testable solutions following:
• Clean Architecture
• Hexagonal Architecture
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

Modernization & Cloud Migration

• Lead application modernization initiatives from on-premises environments to cloud platforms.

• Conduct application discovery, dependency analysis, and proof-of-concept (POC) activities.
• Create migration roadmaps, rollback plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

Cloud & Containerization

• Design, deploy, and manage applications on AWS Cloud.
• Develop containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.

Performance & Scalability

• Design highly scalable systems capable of handling millions of requests and high transaction volumes.

What skills should I have?

- 3+ years of experience in Backend Development.
- Language: NodeJs
- Additional knowledge of Python will be a plus
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

- Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes

- Data migration, transformation, and scripting

- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Experience in Node.JS working with large scale backend applications

Technical specifications/Skill Set:

• Minimum of 5+ years of significant experience in application development.
• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test- driven development
• Knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
• Required technical skills: Strong Core Java, J2EE, Spring boot, Akka, API development & distributed application development experience.
• Desirable technical skills: Micro-services pattern, Kafka, Knative Eventing, Camel-K, Container Technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, NoSql preferably Cassandra.
• Experience working with high volume data and computationally intensive system.
• Domain knowledge in Financial Industry and Capital Markets is a plus.
