Django Developer

Job description

We are looking to expand our existing Python team across our offices in Surat. This position is for SDE-1 - Junior Software Engineer.

The requirements are as follows:

1) Familiar with the the Django REST API Framework.

2) Experience with the FAST API framework will be a plus

3) Strong grasp of basic python programming concepts ( We do ask a lot of questions on this on our interviews :) )

4) Experience with databases like MongoDB , Postgres , Elasticsearch , REDIS will be a plus

5) Experience with any ML library will be a plus.

6) Familiarity with using git , writing unit test cases for all code written and CI/CD concepts will be a plus as well.

7) Familiar with basic code patterns like MVC.

8) Grasp on basic data structures.

What you’ll do here:

•Lead the technical implementation of our platform using Python for new and existing clients

•Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless onboarding experiences for our clients.

•Translate business use-cases into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions

•Own the technical relationship with clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle

•Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables

•Mentor developers and contribute to internal tooling and automation

•Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across cloud environments

What you will need to thrive:

•8+ years of software development experience.

•Strong proficiency in Python (preferred), C# .NET, or C/C++.

•Proven track record of leading technical implementations for enterprise clients.

•Deep understanding of Pandas, Numpy, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data transformation pipelines.

•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficient knowledge of Django and Django REST framework 
• Experience and good understanding of Redis
• Good knowledge and understanding of PostgreSQL or other relational databases 
• Proficient in NoSQL document databases especially MongoDB. 
• Understanding of threading and multiprocessing in Python, and multi-process architecture 
• Good-enough understanding of version control systems like Git or Mercurial 
• Strong unit-test and debugging skills 
• Knowledge of container technologies (specially Docker) and orchestration systems is a plus 
• Strong understanding of various Python Libraries, APIs, and toolkits
• Excellent understanding of MVC and OOP
• Rapid prototyping skills for getting product feedback 
• Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodology

Person should have strong knowledge in -

1. Core Java,

2. JSP

3. Spring Framework,

4. Spring Boot,

5. SOAP and REST Webservices

6. Application Security.

Person should have 4 to 6 Years of work experience in Java and the above-mentioned related technology.

Person should have good Oracle Database knowledge and have good communication skills.

Having work experience in BFSI domain will added advantage

Person needs to work from Mumbai location and also available to join the office

 ● Regularly aligning your team’s vision and roadmap with the target architecture within your

 domain and to ensure the success of complex multi domain initiatives.

 ● Integrate already trained ML and GenAI models (preferably GCP in services.

 What Makes You a Great Fit

 ● 5 years of proven work experience as a Backend Python Engineer

 ● Understanding of software engineering fundamentals OOPS, SOLID, etc.)

 ● Hands-on experience with Python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn,

 Lang chain/LLamaIndex etc.

 ● Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, Keras, being

 proficient in Python

 ● Hands-on Experience with frameworks such as Django or FastAPI or Flask

 ● Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and BigQuery (or equivalents)

 ● Extensive experience integrating with or creating REST APIs

 ● Experience with creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines- we use GitHub Actions.

 ● Experience with event-driven architectures like Kafka, RabbitMq or equivalents.

 ● Knowledge about:

 o LLMs

 o Vector stores/databases

 o PromptEngineering

 o Embeddings and their implementations

 ● Somehands-onexperience in implementations of the above ML/AI will be preferred

 ● Experience with GCP/AWS services.
