🎬Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Leader with a focus on building maintainable and scalable applications. The Lead will be responsible for the design and development of Jodo’s fee payments platform and be owning one of the products/verticals. Leads will be closely working

with Product Managers and Founders to execute projects from ideation to completion. As a hands-on Team Lead, you will take ownership of services/systems and guide a team of

developers.

📈Key Responsibilities

● Own and drive the development of one or more of Jodo’s products

● Take the lead in the design and development of the backend platform

● Mentor a team of developers, promote collaboration and engagement, and promote practices that improve the developer experience

● Work closely with Product Managers and Founders to brainstorm requirements and prioritize

● Own quality - actively participate in code reviews

● Own reliability - continuously monitor Production Health, proactively fix production issues

● Own execution - Plan and delegate work for the team, optimize for speed of development and incremental delivery

📃Requirements

● 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development

● 1+ years of leading a team

● Experience in working with distributed systems

● Proficient in building Microservices/RESTful APIs with any modern tech stack

● Working knowledge of relational and nonrelational databases

● Prior working knowledge of Python/Django is a big plus

● Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools

● Knowledge of AWS or any other Cloud Platform services

● Champion code quality and drive best practices

● Ability to analyze and convert business requirements into technical requirements

● Self-starter and ability to take the ownership

● Prior experience working in a startup environment is great to have

As a backend .NET core developer, you will be predominantly involved in:

• Developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software web applications.
• Coding, testing, debugging & supporting all types of enterprise web applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.

This is more than a challenging development role. This is high performance technology.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, implement and maintain .net core based middle layer/services application working with established processes.
• Ensure adherence of best coding practicesfor a high-performance data processing backend application.
• Identify production and non-production application issues & assist team with optimal solution.
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of .Net core developed projects, including periodic code review.
• Provide technicalsupport and consultation for .Net core backend application and deployment related queries

Desired Skills Technical Skills

• Experience in WCF/Web Services or REST API (Using C#.Net core)
• 1+ years of hands on experience (using HTTPS) .Net core Based Windows Services 2+ year of hands on experience SQL Server (2012 or 2014)
• 2+ year of hands on experience in writing high performance SQL queries.
• (MySQL is preferable) Message Queue (RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar) Work experience preferable for message queue based architecture development Distributed Cache Management (Redis Cache, MemCached or similar) Experience preferable

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code. 

Responsibilities

• 2-5 years experience.
• Experience with user interface design, database structures and statistical analyses.
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Proven working experience in Java development
• Experience with test-driven development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Development experience with programming languages

Skills Required - Java, javascript, Web technologies - Servlet, HTML, CSS, Development using IDE's.
