What will you do?

· Define the overall process, which includes building a team for DevOps activities and ensuring that infrastructure changes are reviewed from an architecture and security perspective

· Create standardized tooling and templates for development teams to create CI/CD pipelines

· Ensure infrastructure is created and maintained using terraform

· Work with various stakeholders to design and implement infrastructure changes to support new feature sets in various product lines.

· Maintain transparency and clear visibility of costs associated with various product verticals, environments and work with stakeholders to plan for optimization and implementation

· Spearhead continuous experimenting and innovating initiatives to optimize the infrastructure in terms of uptime, availability, latency and costs

You should apply, if you

1. Are a seasoned Veteran: Have managed infrastructure at scale running web apps, microservices, and data pipelines using tools and languages like JavaScript(NodeJS), Go, Python, Java, Erlang, Elixir, C++ or Ruby (experience in any one of them is enough)

2. Are a Mr. Perfectionist: You have a strong bias for automation and taking the time to think about the right way to solve a problem versus quick fixes or band-aids.

3. Bring your A-Game: Have hands-on experience and ability to design/implement infrastructure with GCP services like Compute, Database, Storage, Load Balancers, API Gateway, Service Mesh, Firewalls, Message Brokers, Monitoring, Logging and experience in setting up backups, patching and DR planning

4. Are up with the times: Have expertise in one or more cloud platforms (Amazon WebServices or Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure), and have experience in creating and managing infrastructure completely through Terraform kind of tool

5. Have it all on your fingertips: Have experience building CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, Docker for applications majorly running on Kubernetes. Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting applications running on K8s

6. Have nailed the data storage game: Good knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL,Mongo, BigQuery, Cassandra…)

7. Bring that extra zing: Have the ability to program/script is and strong fundamentals in Linux and Networking.

8. Know your toys: Have a good understanding of Microservices architecture, Big Data technologies and experience with highly available distributed systems, scaling data store technologies, and creating multi-tenant and self hosted environments, that’s a plus

Job Summary

You'd be meticulously analyzing project requirements and carry forward the development of highly robust, scalable and easily maintainable backend applications, work independently, and you'll have the support & opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
• ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

Skill Requirements:

1. Managing GitHub (example: - creating branches for test, QA, development and production, creating Release tags, resolve merge conflict)
2. Setting up of the servers based on the projects in either AWS or Azure (test, development, QA, staging and production)
3. AWS S3 configuring and s3 web hosting, Archiving data from s3 to s3-glacier
4. Deploying the build(application) to the servers using AWS CI/CD and Jenkins (Automated and manual)
5. AWS Networking and Content delivery (VPC, Route 53 and CloudFront)
6. Managing databases like RDS, Snowflake, Athena, Redis and Elasticsearch
7. Managing IAM roles and policies for the functions like Lambda, SNS, aws cognito, secret manager, certificate manager, Guard Duty, Inspector EC2 and S3.
8. AWS Analytics (Elasticsearch, Athena, Glue and kinesis).
9. AWS containers (elastic container registry, elastic container service, elastic Kubernetes service, Docker Hub and Docker compose
10. AWS Auto scaling group (launch configuration, launch template) and load balancer
11. EBS (snapshots, volumes and AMI.)
12. AWS CI/CD build spec scripting, Jenkins groovy scripting, shell scripting and python scripting.

Qualifications and Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: 4 - 7 yrs

Qualification: BE/ BTech/MCA.

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

We are looking for a full-time remote DevOps Engineer who has worked with CI/CD automation, big data pipelines and Cloud Infrastructure, to solve complex technical challenges at scale that will reshape the healthcare industry for generations. You will get the opportunity to be involved in the latest tech in big data engineering, novel machine learning pipelines and highly scalable backend development. The successful candidates will be working in a team of highly skilled and experienced developers, data scientists and CTO.

Job Requirements

• Experience deploying, automating, maintaining, and improving complex services and pipelines • Strong understanding of DevOps tools/process/methodologies
• Experience with AWS Cloud Formation and AWS CLI is essential
• The ability to work to project deadlines efficiently and with minimum guidance
• A positive attitude and enjoys working within a global distributed team

Skills

• Highly proficient working with CI/CD and automating infrastructure provisioning
• Deep understanding of AWS Cloud platform and hands on experience setting up and maintaining with large scale implementations
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, Python and Bash/Shell Scripting
• Hands on experience with Docker and container orchestration
• Experience setting up and maintaining big data pipelines, Serverless stacks and containers infrastructure
• An interest in healthcare and medical sectors
• Technical degree with 4 plus years’ infrastructure and automation experience
