Data Science Analyst – Remote 

Springer Capital is a real estate investment firm based in Chicago, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Springer engages in Capital Advisory for APAC Private Equity and Asset Management making financial investments in real estate and other sectors in US markets. 

Springer seeks an Data Science Analyst to join the Technology side of the company. The internship can be onsite in Shanghai or conducted remotely. The start date of the internship is flexible.  

Job Highlights 

As an intern for the data analysis team, you will be focusing on researching and developing tools and workflow that automate some parts of our business automation.  As business automation is important throughout the firm, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Springer. 

What you will do as an intern: 

Collect data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and web scraping tools. 

Clean and process raw data to ensure it is accurate and consistent. 

Analyze data to extract insights using computational tools, such as Excel, SQL, and Python. 

Communicate insights in a clear and concise manner with the manager along your progress.  

Implement solutions based on insights you discovered to improve business processes or solve problems.

Strong experience using Excel.

Experience (preferred) with data analysis.

Technical and legal Information 

The internship enrollment period is flexible. The expected hours are 20 per week for ~3 months. Upon completion, you will receive an internship confirmation letter, or you can apply to your school for internship credit.  

Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, and Redux

◐ Experience utilizing Google Firebase and various analytics tools

◐ Proficient in Git and other code versioning tools

◐ In-depth understanding of React JS and its fundamental principles

◐ Knowledge of React state management like Redux.

◐ Proficiency in composing functional requirement documents and guides

◐ Familiarity with authorization mechanisms like JSON Web Token

◐ Collaboration with back-end developers and web designers to enhance usability

◐ Profound comprehension of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, ensuring compatibility across browsers

◐ Familiarity with popular React JS workflows such as Flux or Redux

What the company wants:

They want someone who can build and manage relationships with real estate brokers. You’ll be the main point of contact for brokers, onboard new ones into the network, and work with them to bring in buyers and properties. Your job is to make sure brokers stay engaged, motivated, and consistently deliver results.

Role:

• Be the single point of contact (POC) for all brokers.
• Onboard new brokers into the company’s channel partner network.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term broker relationships.
• Work with brokers to bring in qualified buyers for listed properties.
• Encourage brokers to source high-potential properties for the company.
• Track broker performance and give feedback for improvement.
• Conduct regular broker training to align them with company processes.
• Stay updated on market trends and identify new opportunities.
• Travel frequently to meet brokers and keep them engaged.

Job Description:

1.Design mobile application interface design, navigation, and presentation along with developing

custom controls as required by the application.

2. Understand product development road map and execute rapidly to build mobile applications with

high quality.

3. Utilize native APIs to enable maps, in-app SMS and email features

4. Develop applications that controls handset resources

5. Able to lead and mentor team members

6. Troubleshoot to solve customer problems with help of Catalytic/firebase among other tools.

9. Good to have exposure to Kotlin, flutter, react native

10. Implement Deep Links and Notification Libraries

11. Understanding of battery/ram/network and other system resource saving strategies

• Own the lifecycle of users from on-boarding, setup, to the day-to-day support, including serving as front-line for issues on the ongoing engagements.
• Crafting delightful user experiences around user on-boarding and support, such as ticketing, support channels, and customer communications.
• Tracking metrics and measurements of user engagement and behavior.
• Crafting well-written user-facing communications and documentation.
• Translating user feedback and needs to well-scoped requirements, and collaborating with Engineering to deliver them.
• For the first 6-9 months, expect a lot of hands-on, detail-oriented work, often requiring your exposure to other areas like sales/account management, including occasionally plugging in on for other functions.
• In the mid-to-long-term, expect an increasing amount of specialization into a deeper role, with the possibility of eventually building and scaling a team.
