Manual Tester (Mobile & API) – 2+ Yrs Exp | Coimbatore

• Looking for passionate testers with 2+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing for mobile apps and APIs.
• Strong logical skills and attention to detail are a must.
• Good communication is essential to work with cross-functional teams.

Experience: Mobile testing (both Android & iOS).

Technical Skills:

Strong in debugging.

Well-versed with API level validation from logs.

Familiar with database-level validation and queries.

Experience in backend testing and understanding of service interactions.

Testing Coverage:

Capable of designing end-to-end test cases.

Strong in negative, edge-case, and performance scenarios coverage.

Process Knowledge:

Familiar with Agile ceremonies (Grooming, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and QA roles and responsibilities.

Can contribute effectively in bug triage and RCA discussions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS or BS in Computer Science or a related subject.
• At least five (5+) years of web application testing and automation experience.
• Taking complete ownership of product testing efforts.
• Proficiency in Java/ Python or any other Object-Oriented Language.
• Experience of Selenium & WebServices or REST API testing or backend testing
• Ability to design and develop test automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience in CI/ CD setup preferably with Jenkin
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expert in methodically developing use-cases-
• Expert at writing automation test cases using Selenium.
• Expert at testing the web application for both functionality and performance.
• Understands what world-class quality for SAAS Products 
• Expert at communicating the QA results with the engineering teams
• Expert at increasing visibility for blocker/critical issues.

Design test plans, write test cases, review functional requirement documentation, and present test strategies for team review

• Conduct integration, regression, ad-hoc, and edge-case testing as part of release cycles
• Analyze complicated software system and design a strategy to test this system
• Understand and represent customer needs in product feedback discussions
• Participate in release management and post deployment testing
• Work closely with developer team to ensure proper test coverage is done
• Documentation and Release cycle

Job Profile Requirement : 

Experience of testing web applications, mobile applications.

• Knowledge of Responsive Testing
• Working knowledge of functional, GUI, Performance and Regression testing
• Strong knowledge of QA procedures, principles, and tools.
• Strong verbal and written (technical) communication skills to explain bugs and other issues identified and produce bug reports, documentation and feedback to both product owners and software developers.
• Ability to work in an environment of perfection and compliance to web standards and high design quality benchmarks.
• Strong organisational and time management skills - know what you need to do, and DO IT!

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Work with our proprietary Java and Kotlin based SDK to find performance and functionality related issues.
• Working with in-house Dashboards to perform testing of UI and APIs.
• Collaborating with teams to create test documents.
• Planning and task management in congruence with the team.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Expertise on testing different QA Methodologies black box, white box and gray box for both web UIs and backends both manually and automation.
• Ability to code and maintain back-end automation frameworks written in distributed programming languages such as Python.
• Ability to automate Android applications using tools such as Appium.
• Hands-on experience on API testing and testing tools like Postman, Rest-Assured or other API testing tools.
• Experience working with Proxy tools like Charles Proxy, Fiddler.
• Excellent in test strategising, planning, estimation, execution, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of Agile scrum methodologies
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.

• Work with product and business stakeholders to prepare test cases and plan
• Build, enhance and maintain automation frameworks for scalability, stability, and performance
• Write new automated tests for existing and new features
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test case documentation
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and drive them to closure by collaborating with development teams
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Job Brief:

Strong experience as a Developer, QA Engineer, Software Developer in Test or similar QA role.
