We are looking for a detail-oriented SDET-1/Manual QA Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality before reaching customers. This role involves carefully reviewing requirements and test plans, executing manual tests, and collaborating with product managers, developers to identify and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review user stories and requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability.
• Execute test cases for new features, bug fixes, and regression cycles.
• Perform exploratory, usability, smoke, and sanity testing across different environments.
• Perform add hoc data quality checks and regular monitoring
• Log defects with detailed reproduction steps, screenshots, and impact assessment.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers during defect triage to ensure timely fixes.
• Support release testing and assist with UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Maintain organized test documentation and ensure traceability.
• Perform add hoc data quality checks and regular monitoring tasks.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of manual QA or software testing experience in SaaS/Product companies.
• Familiarity with QA processes, SDLC, and defect life cycle.
• Exposure to test management or bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Ability to identify gaps in test coverage and propose improvements.
• Strong attention to detail.

Experience: Mobile testing (both Android & iOS).

Technical Skills:

Strong in debugging.

Well-versed with API level validation from logs.

Familiar with database-level validation and queries.

Experience in backend testing and understanding of service interactions.

Testing Coverage:

Capable of designing end-to-end test cases.

Strong in negative, edge-case, and performance scenarios coverage.

Process Knowledge:

Familiar with Agile ceremonies (Grooming, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and QA roles and responsibilities.

Can contribute effectively in bug triage and RCA discussions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the testing, identifying issues and subsequent fixing in entire PDLC
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Quality review and signoff of new features
• Understand product architecture and functionality
• Create Test Case/Test script writing
• Should be ready to convert unvaried test cases into automated test scripts
• Create, maintain, and execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests
• Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate release decisions
• Provide support and assistance to business and users on reported production issues
• Creates temporary "work-arounds" for immediate customer/ end users issues
• Communicate with PMs and engineers on reported issues
• Participate in product discussions & refine the acceptance criteria
• Communicate high-value use cases and customer feedback to the product team

The ideal candidate must have -

• At least 2 years of practical experience in defining, developing, maintaining and executing test cases
• Prior experience dealing with full product development lifecycles and multiple releases
• Experience of working with Web, Mobile, and API Testing
• Basic understanding of good programming practices, architecture and design patterns
• Knowledge of Performance & Security Testing
• Solid analytical & problem-solving skills and experience of working in Agile process management methodology
• Should be excellent at communication, be able to explain ideas clearly.
• Must be extremely proactive and self-starter.
• Good knowledge of test automation tools like PyTest, Mocha, Cypress or comparable is a big plus.
