Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead backend and platform development. You’ll drive scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, while mentoring a talented engineering team and delivering real-world impact through proven projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers to deliver robust and scalable systems.

• Design and architect backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS infrastructure.

• Ensure code quality, CI/CD, and best practices across deployments.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams to translate business goals into technical outcomes.

• Drive technical decisions, performance optimization, and system reliability.

• Manage sprint planning, resource allocation, and project delivery timelines.

• Contribute to hands-on coding, design reviews, and architecture discussions.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of software development experience, including 2+ years leading engineering teams.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), and related backend frameworks.

• Proven experience in building and scaling production-grade systems and services.

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Prior experience in a fintech or high-scale product startup preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

·        More than 4-8 years’ experience in PHP

·        Must have minimum 4 years work experience in Laravel framework

·        Knowledge and experience in: MySQL, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML,CSS

·        Knowledge on Coding Standards, Design Patterns, and Best Practices

·        Has actual experience and understanding on Agile Software Development

·        Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

·        Able to mentor, collaborate and guide other team members

What Responsibilities?

• Development based on PHP7 (OOP'S), MySQL, and Javascript
• Identification and evaluation of new technologies
• Combination of innovative technologies with existing applications

What do you need?

• At Least 4+ years of professional experience in development
• In-depth knowledge of PHP or a comparable object-oriented language
• MySQL knowledge
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and should have worked at least 5 to 6 major projects using OOPs and LAMP technologies in a high traffic website. (LAMP stands for Linux Apache MySQL & PHP)
• You will be working closely with the highly motivated development team in order to build different applications under the guidance of your team leader.
• You will handle tickets on a daily basis, specifically assigned to him.
• Full stack developers should be given preference for our requirements.
• Added advantage if you have worked on various PHP Frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, CakePHP, Yii or Zend Framework
• The candidate should have good analytical & debugging skills

Responsibilities

• Mentoring Team of Juniors, Code Reviews, and System Design Understanding
• Design and develop APIs using NodeJs, TypeScript, and deployment using the CICD pipeline.
• Apply code reviews and development quality reviews to make sure best practices are implemented
• Expertise with MySQL including the design of schemas and development for these databases
• Understanding of System Architectures, Design Patterns, and SOLID Principles
• Knowledge of git-based workflows such as git-flow, Proficient with code editors & linting tools

Requirements

• 2+ years of development experience with NodeJS, and Javascript frameworks related to the web stack
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Good to have

• Experience with AWS Microservices
• Experience with payment gateways
• Exposure to AWS Services, policies, and the DevOps pipeline is a plus.
• Expertise with React, Redux, Hooks, and its core principles

You will be responsible for architecting and developing features on the application end to end. You will be working closely with the Product Managers and the Technical architect to come up with high-quality, resilient, and highly performant applications.‍

• Design and develop SaaS-based applications based on microservices architecture.
• Work on core backend and ensure it meets the performance benchmarks.
• Work on the front end with ReactJS.
• Designing and developing APIs for the front end to consume.
• Constantly improve the architecture of the application by clearing the technical backlog.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

• Education - BE/MCA or equivalent.
• Overall 4+ years of experience.
• Agnostic/Polyglot with multiple tech stacks.
• Worked on open source technologies – NodeJS, ReactJS, MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
• Good experience with Front-end technologies like JavaScript frameworks, ReactJS, AngularJS.
• Backend exposure – good knowledge of building API.
• Worked on serverless technologies.
• Efficient in building microservices in combining server & front-end.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Should have sound working experience with relational and columnar DB.
• Should be innovative and communicative in approach.
• Will be responsible for functional/technical track of a project.
