About the Role -
We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to develop new and improve existing features and experiences for our products . You'll craft a strategy rooted firmly in user insights that paint an exciting vision of the future, and deliver on that vision through effective planning, interaction design, visuals, and
prototypes, you will be making our products more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers.
As the team responsible for Pocket FM, we build both consumer-facing and business products for various platforms. You will be part of the design team that combines interfaces and workflows and enhances user experience.
In this role you will be designing products and experiences that meet people's needs, You should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems.

Responsibilities -
● Understand product specifications and user psychology

● Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
● Creating personas though user research and data
● Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
● Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success
● Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs

● Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability and findability )
● Create elegant UI designs and high fidelity prototypes
Requirements -
● Proven experience as a UX designer, UI Designer or similar role
● Strong portfolio of design projects
● Background in project management and research
● Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
● Proficient in Design software ( e.g. Figma, XD or sketch ),
● Problem solving aptitude
● Analytical mind with a business acumen
● Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Good time-management and product management skills
Knowledge of front end development in Web, Android and/or iOS is a plus.

About the Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about building and scaling one of the world’s most personalised audio content discovery platforms. You will be responsible for defining and delivering product roadmap and strategy that contribute to the retention of users. You’ll inspire teams of engineers to execute and deliver that best in class recommendation experience, and in the process have a substantial impact on the happiness of our users and success of our business. This is a strategically important role for Pocket FM and the opportunity for impact is high.
Responsibilities
● Build a roadmap and execution strategies with the team by understanding user and strategic needs, utilizing data insights and working closely with stakeholders
● Lead multiple projects across the entire product lifecycle. You’ll set the vision for the core user experience of the product
● Triangulate data and insights to develop a robust product strategy and inform decision-making
● Manage cross-functional relationships to keep stakeholders informed, receive input, and influence their thinking
● Demonstrate your expertise and product craft to successfully ship products that move our topline retention metrics
● Prioritize new features based on user needs, Pocket FM short term and long term business goals and technical platform scalability
Requirements
● You have 2+ years experience managing and developing well-loved software products as a product manager. You’ve had many experiences defining product roadmaps, building collaboratively with design and engineering peers, and shipping at scale.
● You have in product experience of using machine learning to solve recommendation and ranking problems
● You have delivered projects that have shown proven impact for your business
● You have good instincts but match that with deep analytical thinking to focus on the things that matter most, especially with expertise in large amounts of data. You are experienced in making hard data-informed decisions.

(Audio is a $15B+ industry globally with unicorns like Audible, Ximalaya FM, China Literature,Spotify etc) Founded by IIT Kharagpur and Kanpur alumni, Pocket FM has grown to 2M+ users with deep engagement of 90 minutes time spent per user per day. We are a Series A funded start-up backed by some of the marquee investors like Tencent, Lightspeed, and others. Who you are
 2 + years of experience in android development.
 Hands-on experience in Testing & Release lifecycle
 Good knowledge in Kotlin, Android SDK.
 Knowledge of Android Platform Internals in a plus
 Proficient in Data structures and Algorithms.
 Proficient in Design patterns and principles.
 Exposure to Libraries/APIs like RxJava, Coroutines etc
 Familiar with common Architectures like MVVM, MVP, MVI etc..
 Up to date with Jetpack components Libraries and other standard libraries.
 Ability to create custom UI from given Prototypes
 Experience with Android Media Framework and Audio Engineering is a Plus.

 Excellent programming and debugging skills in Mobile Java (Android)
 UI development in mobile framework (Android) environment including using native UI controls and developing of new custom UI Controls and handling Fragmentation.

Who you are
 2-5 Years of experience in product development with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance applications for mobile (Android, iOS).
 Proficiency in Problem Solving and Data structures.
 Expert understanding of iOS and Android native platforms and corresponding frameworks is a must.
 Proficient in Design patterns and principles.
 Amazing debugging skills with the ability to write unit test cases.

SENIOR BACKEND ENGINEER – POCKET FM
Job Responsibilities
Design and build from cloud-based products and services with massive scale and reliability Write clean and modular code primarily in Python to create multi tenant microservices Terabyte scale data per month with SLA end to end latency and tenant fairness
Build CICD based software development model with end-to-end ownership of code delivery - starting from design/architecture, coding, automated functional/integration testing and operating/monitoring the service in production.
Use relevant technologies and cloud services like Kafka, Redis, Mongo, RDS, Spark Streaming, Redshift, Airflow to build highly performant and scalable distributed systems
Design and develop data schema and access layer to optimally store and retrieve data
Stay up to date with the latest developments in cloud computing and incorporate relevant learnings to both product features and product architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
BS/Btech (Btech Preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology
Preferred Technical Skills:
2- 6 years of software development experience with enterprise-grade software. Must have experience in building scalable, high-performance cloud services Expert coding skills in Python, Django
In Depth experience in AWS is mandatory
Expertise in building scalable event based asynchronous systems based on the microservices architecture
Experience working with docker and kubernetes
Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, RDS, RDF, Graph DB, SPARQL etc. Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, SQS
Must have expertise in building REST APIs
Strong object-oriented designing and programming experience Experience in cloud object stores: S3, Cloud Storage, Blobs, etc. Desired Technical Skills:
