Java AWS Developer

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building and scaling our next generation of enterprise solutions. You will work in a highly collaborative, product-driven environment where engineering excellence, cloud-native architecture, and AI-powered development are core to how we operate.

You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle from architecture and design through development, deployment, and continuous improvement while helping shape the technical direction of our products.

• Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and reliable backend solutions.
• Championing best practices in software development and service delivery, including agile methodologies, code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, and TDD.
• Contributing to design and architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and business objectives.
• Collaborating closely with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our development processes and service offerings.

What You Will Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Minimum 4 years of experience in software development using Java.
• 4+ years of experience in software solution development and delivery.
• Experience building solutions based on a microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with at least one cloud platform (OCI, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proven track record of delivering software in a fast-moving, high-growth, and matrixed enterprise environment.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Experience working with RDBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Proven experience with industry best practices including TDD, CI/CD, agile methodologies, code reviews, unit testing, and automation.
• Experience developing enterprise business applications backed by relational databases.

• B.E/B.Tech/ MCA

Requirements

• Senior SD4 engineer/Principal Engineer/ Architect who has led or been part of platform teams inside a large/mid tech company
• Deep expertise working with any of the programming languages to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code.Python experience is a bonus - but not required
• Good understanding of REST APIs and the web in general and ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion
• Experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Load Balancing
• Experience in building a platform team on AWS for Product based companies/start-ups

What You’ll Do

• Build the core technology platform, including Automated provisioning of infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring of services
• Build a central services directory within an organization that shows the cost and health of all services and makes the management of microservices extremely easy
• This involves working with core infrastructure and understanding them in great detail - like Kubernetes, ServiceMesh, Service security
• Mentor/coach engineers to facilitate their development and provide technical leadership

Requiremets and Responsibilities- (please read carefully before applying)

• The overall experience of 3-6 years in Java/Python Framework and Machine Learning.
• Develop Web Services, REST, XSD, XML technologies, Java, Python, AWS, API.

• Troubleshoot Solr indexing process and querying engine.
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science from Tier 1 Institutions

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor the platform team at Checko.
• Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and craftsmanship of the team’s infrastructure and systems capable of handling massive amounts of requests with high reliability and scalability
• Leverage the deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership on resolving complex technology issues
• Entrepreneurial and out-of-box thinking essential for a technology startup
• Guide the team for unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

Requirements

• Must have design, development, testing, deployment of systems capable of handling massive amounts of requests with high reliability and scalability
• Must have strong command in writing production-level code in Java or Python including skills in debugging, performance analysis/optimization and memory usage optimization
• Must have worked with real-time web/mobile applications and event-driven architectures
• Must have experience working with relational and non-relational databases and understanding their data models and performance tradeoffs.
• Must have solid engineering principles and a clear understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Should have knowledge of service-oriented architecture, caching techniques, micro-services, and distributed systems
• Should have basic understanding of C++/reactJS/Angular/Node

Desired Skills and Experience

Algorithms, debugging, performance optimization on low-end processors, data structures, REST, service-oriented architecture.

We are looking for an experienced Java or full-stack developer who is passionate about developing solutions that improve healthcare. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience building large-scale web applications. 

You will be expected to define/scope feature-sets and develop new functions. • At least 4 years of SAAS software development experience.
• Experience in cloud computing application implementations on AWS is a MUST!
• Excellent understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and standard methodologies with an eye towards scale, automation, resiliency, and high availability
• Experience with build-time dependency management (e.g. Ant, Maven); unit testing and code-coverage tools; test automation techniques and tools; and build automation tools (e.g. Jenkins,) tools is required. 
• Strong understanding of Java is expected 
• Good understanding of architectural principles involved in SaaS and multi-tenant platforms.
