Front Office Executive

As a Data Engineer at PalTech, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across systems. You will leverage SQL and leading ETL tools (such as Informatica, ADF, etc.) to support data integration and transformation needs. This role involves building and optimizing data warehouse architectures, performing performance tuning, and ensuring high levels of data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, sound knowledge of data architecture principles, and a passion for building clean and efficient data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and tools such as Informatica, ADF, etc.
• Build and optimize data warehouse and data lake solutions for reporting, analytics, and operational usage.
• Apply strong understanding of data warehousing concepts to architect scalable data solutions.
• Handle large datasets and design effective load/update strategies.
• Collaborate with data analysts, business users, and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Implement data quality checks and validation frameworks to ensure data reliability and integrity.
• Perform SQL and ETL performance tuning and optimization.
• Work with structured and semi-structured data from various source systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in data workflows.
• Maintain documentation for data pipelines, data flows, and data definitions.
• Follow best practices in data engineering including security, logging, and error handling.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, ADF).
• Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience working with RDBMS platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Familiarity with version control systems and job schedulers.

Experience:

• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering and ETL development.

Qualifications

• Experience in Ad Sales: Preferably 2+ years of experience in ad sales, preferably in the newsletter or media industry. Bonus points if you've closed $1M+ deals before (combined) and ideally $50k+ deals (singular). Not required!
• Proactive Approach: A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing potential sponsors, with a knack for opening doors and establishing relationships.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present sponsorship packages compellingly.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working in collaborative environments, partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Building and implementing top-notch user interfaces using Javascript and the Angular framework 

Writing efficient Javascript code while also using HTML and CSS 

Develop all server-side logic, including data storage to optimize website performance 

Using the latest front-end technologies, creating adaptable interfaces for online applications 

Leading with product-analysis tasks and conducting performance tests 

Using sustainable coding patterns that can be easily enhanced and modified subsequently 

Perform complex product analysis as well as development duties that may include significant research and analysis 

Ensuring extensive and proper documentation of solution designs and implementation for easy onboarding of new teammates 

Effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders to deliver requirements 

Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments 

Providing tech support for clearing bottlenecks and and obstacles 

Identifying and troubleshooting issues with frontend code

REQUIREMENTS 

Extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of JavaScript and Node.js 

Professional experience in full stack development using the NAP stack - Node.js, Angular, Postgres 

In depth understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues 

Proficiency in browser rendering behavior and performance. 

Proficiency in Javascript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks 

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git) 

Good understanding of or working experience with IONIC framework is a major plus

SAP Basis / HANA 

• Solution Manager/FRUN Experience with detail knowledge of how SOLMAN system is integrated with Ticketing Tools. 
• Experience in Solution Manager Technical monitoring. 
• End to end monitoring for the sap system during the changes when the monitoring is not available or until the new one is in place 
• Manage the team to get the assigned task done on time adhering the SLA. 
• Align with different stakeholders to discuss the progress of multiple tasks. 
• SPOC of Alert management team. 
• Able to solve and coordinate RCA and support during critical system behaviour.
• Audit Experience. 
• Detailed Technical experience in SAP BASIS and HANA systems administrations.
