Seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with experience in exterior windows, doors,and storefront systems. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading architectural drawings, performing accurate quantity takeoffs, and preparing precise cost estimates. Proficiency in AutoCAD
and Excel is required, along with familiarity with OST (On-Screen Takeoff) and Bluebeam. Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review architectural and structural drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for glazing, windows, doors, and storefront systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop material and labor cost breakdowns.
• Use AutoCAD to interpret design details and confirm quantities and dimensions.
• Utilize Excel, OST, and Bluebeam to organize takeoffs, calculate costs, and prepare bid proposals.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain and verify pricing.
• Support project managers and design teams during preconstruction and project handoff.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and historical cost data.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 2–3 years of estimating experience in commercial glazing, façade, or exterior systems.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization, and reporting).
o Skilled in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
o Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Bluebeam Revu.
o Familiarity with Revit (preferred).
o Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
o Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
o Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
