Role Description

We are seeking a QA Engineer for a part-time, remote role with a 1-year experice. The QA Engineer will be responsible for executing manual tests, creating precise test cases, and ensuring the quality of software deliverables. The role involves collaborating with the development team to identify, report, and resolve bugs while contributing to maintaining a high standard of software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Test Execution and identifying potential issues effectively.
• Proficiency in Quality Assurance processes with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Skills in Manual Testing and creating comprehensive Test Cases.
• Knowledge of software development workflows and expertise in Software Testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools and construction software is a plus.

• Experience in Core Java and Spring Boot.

• Extensive experience in developing enterprise-scale applications and systems. Should possess good architectural knowledge and be aware of enterprise application design patterns.

• Should have the ability to analyze, design, develop and test complex, low-latency client facing applications.

• Good development experience with RDBMS.

• Good knowledge of multi-threading and high-performance server-side development.

• Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux.

• Excellent problem solving and coding skills.

Role Overview

• The Manager / Senior Manager – Marketplaces will be responsible for owning and scaling the brand’s presence across online marketplaces.
• This role will lead revenue growth, visibility, and profitability across platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and quick commerce channels.
• The role requires strong hands-on expertise in marketplace operations, performance marketing, promotions, and category growth.
• The individual will work closely with founders, supply chain, marketing, finance, and operations teams to drive sustainable marketplace performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end marketplace performance including product listings, revenue, margins, and growth targets.
• Manage day-to-day operations across Amazon, Flipkart, and quick commerce platforms.
• Drive visibility through search optimization, catalog management, and platform-led growth levers.
• Plan and execute promotions, deals, and seasonal campaigns in coordination with platform teams.
• Manage marketplace advertising, budgeting, and ROI optimization.
• Track sales performance, pricing, inventory health, and demand forecasting.
• Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure smooth fulfilment and inventory availability.
• Analyze marketplace data and consumer insights to improve conversion, ratings, and repeat purchases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with marketplace account managers and platform stakeholders.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of overall experience in e-commerce or digital sales.
• At least 4+ years of hands-on experience managing marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and quick commerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of marketplace algorithms, ads, promotions, and category management.
• Experience scaling brands on marketplaces in FMCG, D2C, or consumer goods categories preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and drive actionable insights.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments with high ownership.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the Velocity customers via phone, email or video conference and by demonstrating the highest level of urgency, resolve customer issues in a timely manner. 

• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

• Work as part of our extended support team in a startup atmosphere, doing whatever it takes to exceed customer expectations

• Be an Owner and respond to internal inquiries related to Velocitysystems, products and processes. Interact with multiple third-party vendors to resolve the issues

• Understand the technical application of the Velocity suite of products and services

• Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Engineering and Product teams to resolve sophisticated problems with potentially costly and far-reaching consequences

What do you need?

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Customer Success

• Have an understanding of web applications, REST APIs, DB Systems

• Experience with JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, or Python programming

• Prior knowledge of DBMS, SQL

• Past experience of using tools like Postman, Kibanna, 

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Strong debugging skills. Instinctive ability to subdivide problems into basic components in order to efficiently pinpoint root cause of issues.

• Team player with solid communication and presentation skills

• Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed to work successfully with customers in high stress and or ambiguous situations

• You will be partnering with the Product Owners, Engineers, Data Scientists, and other colleagues, working in a cross-functional and distributed team. Together, you will be actively involved in defining the customers’ and the business’ problems.

• You’ll identify the key metrics for the projects you are involved in and take ownership for achieving their success.

• You will research and bring forward new findings and learnings for reaching complex company goals - such as launching in new territories and offering new products.

• From wire-framing to designing end-to-end flows and prototypes, you will be in charge of designing products that solve problems in a simple and elegant way while taking care of every small detail.
