As we continue to scale rapidly, we are looking for an execution-focused Senior Engineering Manager who can lead high-impact engineering teams, drive operational excellence, and build reliable, scalable systems that support our retail and supply chain ecosystem.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Senior Engineering Manager with strong experience in retail-tech, omnichannel commerce, logistics, or supply chain-driven environments. This role requires a leader who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous settings and can balance strategic thinking with deep technical involvement.

You will lead multiple engineering pods responsible for business-critical platforms such as Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), POS integrations, ERP integrations, inventory management, fulfillment workflows, and customer-facing commerce experiences.

The ideal candidate is execution-oriented, highly accountable, technically strong, and passionate about building reliable systems that directly impact business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams/pods across commerce, supply chain, and platform domains.
• Drive end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives from concept to production.
• Ensure predictable delivery while maintaining high engineering quality standards.
• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Retail, Customer Experience, and Business teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Retail & Supply Chain Platform Ownership

• Drive development and evolution of OMS, WMS, ERP, POS, inventory, fulfillment, and logistics integrations.
• Enable seamless omnichannel customer experiences across D2C, retail stores, marketplaces, and partner ecosystems.
• Design solutions for inventory visibility, order orchestration, returns management, fulfillment optimization, and supply chain automation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to improve operational efficiency through technology.

Technical Excellence

• Provide technical leadership on distributed systems, event-driven architectures, integrations, APIs, and asynchronous processing.
• Drive system scalability, reliability, performance, and observability initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices around architecture reviews, code quality, testing, deployment, and incident management.
• Guide teams in making sound technical decisions while balancing speed and long-term maintainability.

Operational Excellence & Reliability

• Own production health, service reliability, and operational readiness.
• Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and operational KPIs.
• Build strong monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability frameworks.
• Drive proactive reliability and resilience initiatives across critical systems.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with leadership, product managers, operations teams, and external vendors.
• Align engineering roadmaps with business priorities and organizational goals.
• Communicate technical and delivery status effectively to senior stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies across multiple teams and functions.

Required Qualifications

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience with 3–5 years leading engineering teams.
• Proven experience managing multiple engineering pods or teams.
• Strong background in retail-tech, e-commerce, omnichannel commerce, logistics, supply chain, or marketplace ecosystems.
• Experience working with OMS, WMS, ERP, POS, inventory management, fulfillment, or logistics platforms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, integrations, messaging systems, and asynchronous workflows.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices.
• Strong understanding of production operations, reliability engineering, observability, and incident management.
• Demonstrated ability to drive execution in high-growth, rapidly changing environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

 Develops digital marketing strategies by studying economic indicators,

tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their

current and future needs, and monitoring competition.

 Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social

media, and display advertising campaigns.

 Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence.

 Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-

range issues that must be addressed.

You need to drive automation for implementing scalable and robust applications. You would indulge your dedication and passion to build server-side optimization ensuring low-latency and high-end performance for the cloud deployed within datacentre. You should have sound knowledge of Open stack and Kubernetes domain.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will understand the overall movement of data in the entire platform, find bottlenecks,define solutions, develop key pieces, write APIs and own deployment of those. You will work with internal and external development teams to discover these opportunities and to solve hard problems. You will also guide engineers in solving the complex problems, developing your acceptance tests for those and reviewing the work and

the test results.

What you will do

• As a DevOps Engineer responsible for systems being used by customer across the globe.
• Set the goals for overall system and divide into goals for the sub-system.
• Guide/motivate/convince/mentor the architects on sub-systems and help them achieving improvements with agility and speed.

• Identify the performance bottleneck and come up with the solution to optimize time and cost taken by build/test system.

• Be a thought leader to contribute to the capacity planning for software/hardware, spanning internal and public cloud, solving the trade-off between turnaround time and utilization.

• Bring in technologies enabling massively parallel systems to improve turnaround time by an order of magnitude.

What you will need

A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. As an integral part of the development team, you will need the following skills to succeed.

• BS or BE/B.Tech or equivalent experience in EE/CS with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong background of Architecting and shipping distributed scalable software product with good understanding of system programming.

• Excellent background of Cloud technologies like: OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Ceph is must.
• Excellent understanding of hybrid, multi-cloud architecture and edge computing concepts.
• Ability to identify the bottleneck and come up with solution to optimize it.
• Programming and software development skills in Python, Shell-script along with good understanding of distributed systems and REST APIs.

• Experience in working with SQL/NoSQL database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB or Elasticsearch.
• Excellent knowledge and working experience with Docker containers and Virtual Machines.
• Ability to effectively work across organizational boundaries to maximize alignment and productivity between teams.

• Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate.

• Deep understanding of technology and passionate about what you do.
• Background in designing high performant scalable software systems with strong focus to optimizehardware cost.

• Solid collaborative and interpersonal skills, specifically a proven ability to effectively guide andinfluence within a dynamic environment.

• Strong commitment to get the most performance out of a system being worked on.
• Prior development of a large software project using service-oriented architecture operating with real time constraints.
