In this role, you will be an integral part of our team responsible for developing and maintaining new applications that support assessment systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an important regional initiative.

Role Responsibilities:

Analysis and Design: Collaborate with stakeholders and the Application Systems team to deeply understand application requirements. Develop technical design documents following business standards.

Programming and Testing: Actively engage in application programming to meet business requirements. Conduct unit testing and assist in functional, load, and user acceptance testing when needed.

Project Review and Enhancement: Review ongoing projects and provide valuable recommendations for improvement. Be open to assisting in related tasks as directed by the line Manager.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Java Expertise: Strong experience in Java Application Design, Coding, and Implementation.

Front-End Development: Excellent skills in front-end development using Angular 10, Bootstrap, and Typescript.

Technology Stack: Proficiency in Java, Spring Suite, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Rest APIs, and Micro-services is highly desirable.

Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including refactoring, TDD, and continuous integration.

Client Interaction: Exceptional client-facing and presentation capabilities.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a team.

Basic Qualifications: 

● Experience: 4+ years. 

● Hands-on development experience with a broad mix of languages such as JAVA, Python, Javascript etc. 

● Server-side development experience mainly in JAVA, (Python and nodeJS can be considerable) 

● UI development experience in ReactJS or AngularJS or PolymerJS or EmberJS or Jquery etc. are good to have. 

● Passion for software engineering and follow the best coding concepts. ● Good to great problem solving and communication skills.

• Proficient in creating Web (Responsive) applications using Angular 8+, AngularJS, JavaScript, JQuery. 
• Experience developing/consuming RESTAPIs
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages Like Java, Python and JavaScript frameworks(e.g. Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g.MSSQL, MySQL), and UI/UX design
• Hands-on experience with code versioning systems like Git, SVN. 

Skills and Experience :

• 2-7 years of experience as a Java/J2EE developer.
• 1-3 years of experience with Angular / React is desirable.
• 2-5 years of experience in using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Thorough knowledge of server-side development.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Good understanding of web services (WSDL SOAP, RESTful).
• Hands-on experience in using Application Servers like WebSphere.
• Expertise in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
• AI/ML domain knowledge is desirable.
• Familiarity with common stacks.
• Knowledge of multiple frontend languages and libraries, like HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery.
• Experience in implementation of Microservices
• Experience with AWS (S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, EC2, ALB, API Gateway, Lambda, etc.) is highly desirable
• Good understanding of Docker & Kubernetes is highly desired.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgresSQL), web servers (Apache), and UI/UX designs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

We are looking for applicant from top schools and product based technology companies who can play a key technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of the product.
• Document current, intermediate, and future state technical architectures that support the product’s vision and mission.
• Assist product development teams to provide technical leadership and guidance
• Facilitate and collaborate with scrum teams and product owners to create technical architectural documentation as required.
• Responsible for contributing to the technical direction of the product for the next 3-5 years by incorporating best of breed technologies.
• Provide ongoing evaluation of technology solutions and capabilities to ensure appropriate alignment of business objectives.
• Assess options, risks and cost-benefit analyses as they pertain to data architecture, security, and other technology issues.
• Outline technical recommendations and identify technological requirements that support the product roadmap.
• Develop a technical roadmap that maps to the product’s future state.
• Promote technical standards, guidelines, best practices and quality control measures for enabling and implementing software systems.

Additional Requirements:

1. 10+ years of Software Development background.
2. Min 3 Years of working experience as an Architect.
3. Deep background knowledge in software development and architecture with Java for Enterprise solutions.
4. A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field) from IITs and Premier Engineering College.
5. Excellent Object Orientation, coupled with excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
6. Highly skilled at Java and related technologies, including Java Frameworks like Spring-boot or Drop wizard, RESTful web services, J SON, Servlet, JSP, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, AWS, Solr.
7. Must have hands-on experience in building scalable and secure back-end systems.
8. Have hands-on experience with systems that are asynchronous, RESTful and demand concurrency
9. Good to have knowledge of best software engineering practices for all stages of the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, deployment.
10. 5-9 years of software development experience in Java with web architecture and scalable design.
11. Experience with agile development, continuous delivery, and DevOps and related tools.
12. Proactive and communicative to be closely aligned within the Product Management and customer requirements.
13. Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to develop technical and business artifacts.
