Devops Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:
 Managing cloud-based serverless infrastructure on AWS, GCP(firebase) with IaC
(Terraform, CloudFormation etc.,)
 Deploying and maintaining products, services, and network components with a focus
on security, reliability, and zero downtime
 Automating and streamlining existing processes to aid the development team
 Working with the development team to create ephemeral environments, simplifying
the development lifecycle
 Driving forward our blockchain infrastructure by creating and managing validators for
a wide variety of new and existing blockchains
Requirements:
 1-3+ years in a SRE / DevOps / DevSecOps or Infrastructure Engineering role
 Strong working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GCP or similar cloud
ecosystem
 Experience working with declarative Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks(Terraform,
CloudFormation)
 Experience with containerization technologies and tools (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD
pipelines and Linux/Unix administration
 Bonus points - if you know more about crypto, staking, defi, proof-of-stake,
validators, delegations

Responsibilities Include
• Support software build and release efforts:
• Create, set up, and maintain builds
• Review build results and resolve build problems
• Create and Maintain build servers
• Plan, manage, and control product releases
• Validate, archive, and escrow product releases
• Maintain and administer configuration management tools, including source control, defect management, project management, and other systems.
• Develop scripts and programs to automate process and integrate tools.
• Resolve help desk requests from worldwide product development staff.
• Participate in team and process improvement projects.
• Interact with product development teams to plan and implement tool and build improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
• TFS 2017 vNext Builds or AzureDevOps Builds Process
• Must to have PowerShell 3.0+ Scripting knowledge

• Hands On experiences on above Win2k12 OS and basic info on MacOS
• Good to have Shell or Batch Script (optional)

Required Experience

• Bachelors Degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred
• 3 or more years experience with Software Configuration Management tools, concepts, and processes.
• Exposure to Source control systems such as TFS, GIT, or Subversion (Optional)
• Familiarity with object-oriented concepts and programming in C# and Power Shell Scripting.
• Experience working on AzureDevOps Builds or vNext Builds or Jenkins Builds
• Experience working with developers to resolve development issues related to source control systems.

DevOps Engineer, Plum & Empuls 

 

As DevOps Engineer, you are responsible to setup and maintain GIT repository, DevOps tools like Jenkins, UCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jfrog Artifactory, Cloud monitoring tools, Cloud security.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Setup, configure, and maintain GIT repos, Jenkins, UCD, etc. for multi hosting cloud environments.
• Architect and maintain the server infrastructure in AWS. Build highly resilient infrastructure following industry best practices.
• Working on Docker images and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop and maintain the automation scripts using Ansible or other available tools.
• Maintain and monitor cloud Kubernetes Clusters and patching when necessary.
• Working on Cloud security tools to keep applications secured.
• Participate in software development lifecycle, specifically infra design, execution, and debugging required to achieve successful implementation of integrated solutions within the portfolio.
• Required Technical and Professional Expertise.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in IT industry.
• Expertise in implementing and managing Devops CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience in DevOps automation tools. And Very well versed with DevOps Frameworks, Agile.
• Working knowledge of scripting using shell, Python, Terraform, Ansible or puppet or chef.
• Experience and good understanding in any of Cloud like AWS, Azure, Google cloud.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is required.
• Proficient in troubleshooting skills with proven abilities in resolving complex technical issues.
• Experience with working with ticketing tools.
• Middleware technologies knowledge or database knowledge is desirable.
• Experience and well versed with Jira tool is a plus.

Version control with Git. Exposure to various branching workflows and collaborative development
Virtualisation and Docker
AWS core components (or their GCP/Azure equivalents) and their management: EC2, ELB, NAT, VPC, IAM Roles and policies, EBS and S3, CloudFormation, Elasticache, Route53, etc.
Configuration Management: SaltStack/Ansible/Puppet
CI/CD automation experience
Understanding of Agile development practices is a plus
