Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop deep understanding of the end-to-end configurations, dependencies, customer requirements, and overall characteristics of the production services as the accountable owner for overall service operations
• Implementing best practices, challenging the status quo, and tab on industry and technical trends, changes, and developments to ensure the team is always striving for best-in-class work
• Lead incident response efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime. Implement effective incident management processes and post-incident reviews
• Participate in on-call rotation responsibilities, ensuring timely identification and resolution of infrastructure issues
• Possess expertise in designing and implementing capacity plans, accurately estimating costs and efforts for infrastructure needs.
• Systems and Infrastructure maintenance and ownership for production environments, with a continued focus on improving efficiencies, availability, and supportability through automation and well defined runbooks
• Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Mentor team members in best practices, technologies, and methodologies.
• Design for Reliability - Architect & implement solutions that keeps Infrastructure running with Always On availability and ensures high uptime SLA for the Infrastructure
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables related to your technical expertise and assigned domains
• Collaborate with Product & Information Security teams to ensure the integrity and security of Infrastructure and applications. Implement security best practices and compliance standards.

Must Haves

• 5-8 years of experience as Devops / SRE / Platform Engineer.
• Strong expertise in automating Infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Docker, Helm Charts etc.
• Strong skills in network services such as DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP, etc
• Expertise in managing large-scale cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS and Oracle)
• Expertise in managing production grade Kubernetes clusters
• Experience in scripting using programming languages like Bash, Python, etc.
• Expertise in skill sets for centralized logging systems, metrics, and tooling frameworks such as ELK, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, and Grafana etc.
• Experience in Managing and building High scale API Gateway, Service Mesh, etc
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
• Have a working knowledge of a backend programming language
• Deep knowledge & experience with Unix / Linux operating systems internals (Eg. filesystems, user management, etc)
• A working knowledge and deep understanding of cloud security concepts
• Proven track record of driving results and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical project stakeholders, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 

• Understanding of maintenance of existing systems (Virtual machines), Linux stack
• Experience running, operating and maintainence of Kubernetes pods
• Strong Scripting skills
• Experience in AWS
• Knowledge of configuring/optimizing open source tools like Kafka, etc.
• Strong automation maintenance - ability to identify opportunities to speed up build and deploy process with strong validation and automation
• Optimizing and standardizing monitoring, alerting.
• Experience in Google cloud platform
• Experience/ Knowledge  in Python will be an added advantage
• Experience on Monitoring Tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes ,Terraform  etc

DevOps Engineer Job Description:-

Responsibilities

• Deploy updates and fixes

Required Skills :

• 5+ years of professional experience developing and launching software products on Cloud.
• Basic understanding Java/Go Programming
• Good Understanding of Container Technologies/Orchestration platforms (e. g Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of AWS or Any Cloud.
• Good understanding of data stores like Postgres, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Good Understanding of Operating systems
• Strong technical background with track record of individual technical accomplishments
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to establish credibility with smart engineers quickly.
• Most importantly, ability to learn and urge to learn new things.
• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related technical field.

You will make an ideal candidate if you have: 

• Experience of building a range of Services in a Cloud Service provider

• Expert understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques

• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub)

• Managed an infrastructure that involved 50+ hosts/network 

• 3+ years of Kubernetes experience & 5+ years of experience in Native services such as Compute (virtual machines), Containers (AKS), Databases, DevOps, Identity, Storage & Security

• Experience in engineering solutions on cloud foundation platform using Infrastructure As Code methods (eg. Terraform)

• Security and Compliance, e.g. IAM and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools

• Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams

• Good leadership and teamwork skills - Works collaboratively in an agile environment

• Operational effectiveness - delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security standards

• Excellent skills in at least one of following: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Node.JS

• Experienced in full automation and configuration management

Essential Skills :

• Demonstrable Cloud service provider experience - infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of services including compute, devops, databases, storage & security

• Demonstrable experience of Linux administration and scripting preferably Red Hat

• Experience of working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and continuous testing tools

• Experience working within an Agile environment

• Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Node.JS

• Server administration (either Linux or Windows)

• Automation scripting (using scripting languages such as Terraform, Ansible etc.)

• Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools

Required Skills :

• Linux & Windows Server Certification

• Experience in implementing DevOps practices and DevOps-tools in areas like CI/CD using Jenkins environment automation, and release automation, virtualization, infra as a code or metrics tracking.
• Hands on experience in DevOps tools configuration in different environments.
• Strong knowledge of working with DevOps design patterns, processes and best practices
• Hand-on experience in Setting up Build pipelines.
• Prior working experience in system administration or architecture in Windows or Linux.
• Must have experience in GIT (BitBucket, GitHub, GitLab)
• Hands-on experience on Jenkins pipeline scripting.
• Hands-on knowledge in one scripting language (Nant, Perl, Python, Shell or PowerShell)
• Configuration level skills in tools like SonarQube (or similar tools) and Artifactory.
• Expertise on Virtual Infrastructure (VMWare or VirtualBox or QEMU or KVM or Vagrant) and environment automation/provisioning using SaltStack/Ansible/Puppet/Chef
• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing Azure cloud based production systems including monitoring capacity.
• Good to have experience in migrating code repositories from one source control to another.
• Hands-on experience in Docker container and orchestration based deployments like Kubernetes, Service Fabric, Docker swarm.
