DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Specialist to join our global automotive team. As DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for managing operations, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting automation workflows to ensure operational stability and excellence for enterprise IT projects. You will be providing support for critical application environments for industry leaders in the automotive industry. 

Responsibilities:

Daily maintenance tasks on application availability, response times, pro-active incident tracking on system logs and resources monitoring

Incident Management: Monitor and respond to tickets raised by the DevOps team or end-users. 

Support users with prepared troubleshooting Maintain detailed incident logs, track SLAs, and prepare root cause analysis reports.

Change & Problem Management: Support scheduled changes, releases, and maintenance activities. Assist in identifying and tracking recurring issues. 

Documentation & Communication: Maintain process documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on incidents and resolutions. 

Tool & Platform Support: Manage and troubleshoot CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), container platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Requirements:

DevOps Skillset: Logfile analysis /troubleshooting (ELK Stack), Linux administration, Monitoring (App Dynamics, Checkmk, Prometheus, Grafana), Security (Black Duck, SonarQube, Dependabot, OWASP or similar)

Experience with Docker.

Familiarity with DevOps principles and ticket tools like ServiceNow.

Experience in handling confidential data and safety sensitive systems

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities. Easy to work with.

Optional: Experience with our relevant business domain (Automotive / Manufacturing industry, especially production management systems). Familiarity with IT process frameworks SCRUM, ITIL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the development team to plan, execute and monitor deployments
• Capacity planning for product deployments
• Adopt best practices for deployment and monitoring systems

• Ensure the highest standards of security

Key Competencies (Functional):

• Proficiency in coding in atleast one scripting language - bash, Python, etc
• Has personally managed a fleet of servers (> 15)
• Understand different environments production, deployment and staging
• Worked in micro service / Service oriented architecture systems
• Has worked with automated deployment systems – Ansible / Chef / Puppet.
• Can write MySQL queries

Job Description:

• Hands on experience with Ansible & Terraform.
• Scripting language, such as Python or Bash or PowerShell is required and willingness to learn and master others. 
• Troubleshooting and resolving automation, build, and CI/CD related issues (in cloud environment like AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Kubernetes is mandate.
• To develop and maintain tooling and environments for test and production environments.
• Assist team members in the development and maintenance of tooling for integration testing, performance testing, security testing, as well as source control systems (that includes working in CI systems like Azure DevOps, Team City, and orchestration tools like Octopus).
• Good with Linux environment.

Araali Networks is seeking a highly driven DevOps engineer to help streamline the release and deployment process, while assuring high quality.

Responsibilities:

Use best practices to streamline the release process

Use IaC methods to manage cloud infrastructure

Use test automation for release qualification

Skills and Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in managing release pipelines

Good understanding of public cloud infrastructure

Working knowledge of python test frameworks like pyunit, and automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber etc

Strong analytical and debugging skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

This person MUST have:

• Min of 3-5 prior experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline maintenance and enhancement specifically Jenkins based pipelines.
• Working experience with engineering tools like git, git work flow, bitbucket, JIRA etc
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with CloudFormation/Terraform
• Experience managing AWS infrastructure
• Hands on experience of Linux administration.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes/Docker orchestration
• Works closely with engineering team for day to day activities
• Manges existing infrastructure/Pipelines/Engineering tools (On Prem or  AWS) for engineering team (Build servers/Jenkin nodes etc.)
• Works with engineering team for new config required for infra like replicating the setups, adding new resources etc.
• Works closely with engineering team for improving existing pipelines for build .
• Troubleshoots problems across infrastructure/services

• Min 5-7  year experience

Timings:

• 40 hours a week (11 AM to 7 PM).
