Responsibilities
- Gather intelligence from key business leaders about needs and future growth
- Partner with the internal IT team to ensure each project meets a specific need and resolves successfully
- Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion
- Evaluate, test and recommend new opportunities for enhancing our software, hardware and IT processes
- Compile and distribute reports on application development and deployment
- Design and execute A/B testing procedures to extract data from test runs
- Evaluate and conclude data related to customer behavior
- Consult with the executive team and the IT department on the newest technology and its implications in the industry

Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Development, Computer Engineering, Project Management or a related field
- 3+ years experience in technology development and deployment

Title: Platform Engineer Location: Chennai Work Mode: Hybrid (Remote and Chennai Office) Experience: 4+ years Budget: 16 - 18 LPA

Responsibilities:

• Parse data using Python, create dashboards in Tableau.
• Utilize Jenkins for Airflow pipeline creation and CI/CD maintenance.
• Migrate Datastage jobs to Snowflake, optimize performance.
• Work with HDFS, Hive, Kafka, and basic Spark.
• Develop Python scripts for data parsing, quality checks, and visualization.
• Conduct unit testing and web application testing.
• Implement Apache Airflow and handle production migration.
• Apply data warehousing techniques for data cleansing and dimension modeling.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer.
• Strong Python skills, knowledge of Tableau.
• Experience with Jenkins, Snowflake, HDFS, Hive, and Kafka.
• Proficient in Unix Shell Scripting and SQL.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like DataStage and DMExpress.
• Understanding of Apache Airflow.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Note: Only candidates willing to work in Chennai and available for immediate joining will be considered. Budget for this position is 16 - 18 LPA.

Focus of the role

Any new engineer who comes into data chapter would be mostly into developing reusable data processing and storage frameworks that can be used across data platform.

About you

To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:-

Essential 

• Hands-on experience in Spark Core, Spark SQL, SQL/Hive/Impala, Git/SVN/Any other VCS and Data warehousing
• Skilled in the Hadoop Ecosystem(HDP/Cloudera/MapR/EMR etc)
• Azure data factory/Airflow/control-M/Luigi
• PL/SQL
• Exposure to NOSQL(Hbase/Cassandra/GraphDB(Neo4J)/MongoDB)
• File formats (Parquet/ORC/AVRO/Delta/Hudi etc.)
• Kafka/Kinesis/Eventhub

Highly Desirable

Experience and knowledgeable on the following:

• Spark Streaming
• Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Azure data offerings - ADF, ADLS2, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Eventhubs, CosmosDB etc.
• Presto/Athena
• Azure DevOps
• Jenkins/ Bamboo/Any similar build tools
• Power BI
• Prior experience in building or working in team building reusable frameworks,
• Data modelling.
• Data Architecture and design principles. (Delta/Kappa/Lambda architecture)
• Exposure to CI/CD
• Code Quality - Static and Dynamic code scans
• Agile SDLC

Azure – Data Engineer

• At least 2 years hands on experience working with an Agile data engineering team working on big data pipelines using Azure in a commercial environment.
• Dealing with senior stakeholders/leadership
• Understanding of Azure data security and encryption best practices. [ADFS/ACLs]

Data Bricks –experience writing in and using data bricks Using Python to transform, manipulate data.

Data Factory – experience using data factory in an enterprise solution to build data pipelines. Experience calling rest APIs.

Synapse/data warehouse – experience using synapse/data warehouse to present data securely and to build & manage data models.

Microsoft SQL server – We’d expect the candidate to have come from a SQL/Data background and progressed into Azure

PowerBI – Experience with this is preferred

Additionally

• Experience using GIT as a source control system
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and application
• Understanding of Azure Cloud costs/management and running platforms efficiently

Specialism- Advance Analytics, Data Science, regression, forecasting, analytics, SQL, R, python, decision tree, random forest, SAS, clustering classification

Senior Analytics Consultant- Responsibilities

• Understand business problem and requirements by building domain knowledge and translate to data science problem
• Conceptualize and design cutting edge data science solution to solve the data science problem, apply design thinking concepts
• Identify the right algorithms , tech stack , sample outputs required to efficiently adder the end need
• Prototype and experiment the solution to successfully demonstrate the value
  Independently or with support from team execute the conceptualized solution as per plan by following project management guidelines
• Present the results to internal and client stakeholder in an easy to understand manner with great story telling, story boarding, insights and visualization
• Help build overall data science capability for eClerx through support in pilots, pre sales pitches, product development , practice development initiatives
