theSound is a multi-dimensional organization specializing in three spaces - marketing consulting, artist and celebrity management, and unique offline experiences.
We are a new-age marketing consulting firm. We specialize in helping brands figure out how to market themselves and make potential customers fall in love with them, and make existing customers fall hopelessly in love. We do this by creating really-really fresh marketing plans, campaigns and content. We also go the entire mile by providing branding, social media management, content, creative collateral, and offline events. Phew.
We also manage a set of inspiring and seasoned celebrities who are available to provide guest talks across a range of topics and conduct masterclasses and workshops for the employees and customers of organizations.
We ALSO work with various eclectic (trust us when we say that) artists, from musicians to magicians and (mostly) everything in between, to create unique offline experiences for brands. In other words, we are not a black and white event management company.

-Work closely with the Public Relations Lead & the founder of the organization to devise and execute a business development plan and process which successfully secures new business; work to reach specific business revenue goals
-Accurately identify and spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the agency’s strategic goals in its key markets; demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the agency’s ideal customers and services offerings to accurately speak to their value to prospective clients
-Source and qualify public relations opportunities with key companies not currently served by theSound
-Develop and manage a robust network/pipeline of current and potential clients to maximize business opportunities. Proactively identify potential clients
-Effectively manage multiple business development initiatives with focused attention
-Prepare new business pitches/decks/ concept notes and present them
to prospective clients
-Effectively direct market research and competitor analyses to assist in the creation of winning business development strategies for the organization
-Provide ongoing, current, and relevant information about the market landscape
-Seek to build and maintain high-level, strategic relationships with key company leaders responsible for the PR function within their organizations
-Cold call prospective leads; follow up on warm leads; convert hot leads into sales opportunities
-Leverage HubSpot CRM to track and report business development activities, and leverage the CRM as an outreach tool
-Qualifications we are seeking in a candidate
-Minimum of 7 years of previous business development activities in a PR agency
-Demonstrated experience working and selling across different industries
-Experience working in a growing environment within professional services/consulting with proven results
-Demonstrated expertise driving a complex, sometimes long, sales cycle from identification through a proposal to the close of the deal
-Ability to provide accurate, necessary, and pertinent information to teams tasked with the proposal creation process
-Experience leveraging a CRM tool for business development activities and reporting them
-Excellent influence and negotiation skills
-Exceptionally strong communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills
